--Sean Burke and Bryse Wilson, both fighting for rotation spots that Will Venable has yet to officially bestow upon them, are expected to throw two innings apiece on Wednesday. Noah Schultz will pitch the fifth and Hagen Smith is scheduled to helm the sixth.

--Drew Thorpe completed another bullpen on Tuesday. He is progressing without issue but compare and contrast what he's working on to other White Sox starters.

"That's the most important thing, he feels healthy," Venable said. "The next thing for him is to spin some baseball. He's done it in his flat ground work but he's just been fastball-changeup in his bullpens."

--Kyle Teel was surprised by the attention his Tuesday live batting practice session against Roki Sasaki got both before...

"I didn’t know it was going to be with him until he hopped on the mound. On the schedule I’m pretty sure it just said ‘live at-bats, Dodgers side.’"

...and after, which included a scrum with Japanese media he did not anticipate...

"Honestly, not at all. It was like the most normal day for me ever, but it’s good."

-- The White Sox are winless and have been outscored by 23 runs through four Cactus League games. They don't count, for what it's worth.

"Losing sucks, but these guys are working extremely hard," Venable said. "There have been things that we have gone into trying to execute, some team fundamentals. These guys have done a great job of that. I'm excited to continue to do that."
