White Sox Wake-Up Call: Sept. 27, 2023

Good morning, White Sox fans. Here’s the rundown for my final Wake-Up Call of the season:

LAST NIGHT: Early heroics from Eloy Jimรฉnez were wiped out by 14 unanswered Arizona runs in the White Sox’s 15-4 loss to the Diamondbacks, which justified Chris Getz’s hesitation to say the White Sox had big plans for 2024. Also, Luis Robert Jr. is done for the year.

TODAY: Luis Patiรฑo leads a bullpen game against Brandon Pfaadt in a day game where fans had to pay retail prices. Thursday could be different.

AROUND THE LEAGUE: The Cubs collapse in spectacular fashion, the Phillies and Brewers clinch, the AL Wild Card race remains jumbled, and the baseball world says goodbye to Brooks Robinson.

Has anybody else ever hit 38 homers with only 80 RBIs?

From what I can tell it’s not the worst ratio ever, but no one has ever hit as many as 38 with as few as 80.
