HallofFrank

Feels like an Arby’s night.

StockroomSnail

Happy anniversary!

StockroomSnail

These are sweet jerseys for Atlanta.

roke1960

Over/under on how many pitches before the Sox are losing. I’ll take 15.

As Cirensica

I think it will be a close game

roke1960

I lose!!

StockroomSnail

Timmy playing like #2, hitting #2, kismet.

As Cirensica

Watching this game and I am wondering if this is some sort of Stockholm syndrome variant

StockroomSnail

Anybody volunteering to watch certainly isn’t healthy.

Steve

I have to do work tonight so it’s kind of doubled.

StockroomSnail

Will the Sox make contact with a pitch in every inning?

As Cirensica

Tim strike out was the tell of someone that doesn’t want to be there

StockroomSnail

Lance Lynn against this offense, gonna be some souvenirs for fans in the OF.

HallofFrank

I’m glad Lynn gets to go vs Strider. Even 6 IP, 3 ER improves his trade stock and he’d basically have to throw BP to hurt his value at this point. Worth a shot.

StockroomSnail

Innings munching does have value

Steve

Thank you Lance Lynn for improving your trade value.

As Cirensica

Strider might have a shot at the 20 Ks record

And frustrating as a Sox fan to see an organization able to pick a guy in the 4th round and soon after have a quality rotation piece

asinwreck

THREE runs in ONE inning. By the White Sox.

StockroomSnail

Shocking.

roke1960

Well, maybe this season is my fault. This is the 3rd game I’m watching this season, and they’re 2-0 in the other ones. I guess I should have watched them all and they’d be in first place.

roke1960

Well, maybe it’s not my fault.

StockroomSnail

I napped, wake, see it’s 3-0 sox… as Rosario hits a homer. Unreal.

StockroomSnail

Braves fans sound like they’re having all the fun.

funkerdan

It seemed that way upon my visit there in 2019. I think they’re happy with the team, the ownership, the new stadium, life, winning a bunch. yup, the opposite of a sox fan.

StockroomSnail

Albies could’ve easily scored, what happened with the cutoff?

As Cirensica

In the meantime Schultz toying with low A hitters. Zero runs allowed this year.

StockroomSnail

Geez, he looked like he put half effort in on that pitch.

StockroomSnail

Oh snap, Colas frosted his tips.

StockroomSnail

I’d have done the same, but bad call Beni.

As Cirensica

Rosario is a terrible outfielder.

StockroomSnail

That throw was something though. But that was white sox level corner defense.

StockroomSnail

Colas looked a little wobbly on that

David

Fun Fact: By Baseball Reference’s formula, in 5 games totaling 20 innings, Touki Toussaint has more WAR (0.7j than Jake Burger, Andrew Vaughn Eloy Jimenez, Yoan Moncada, Yasmani Grandal, Joe Kelly, Gavin Sheets, Lance Lynn, Aaron Bummer or Tim Anderson.

Okay, not actually fun.

HallofFrank

Without looking, I’m guessing you could have used an “and” instead of “or” — since many of those players are in the red, I’m gonna guess that whole group combines for less than 0.7 WAR.

ForsterFTOG

Combined.

a-t

strider is a relatively good matchup for this aggressive, fastball-hunting, low launch angle offense. they like hard fastballs and have issues elevating, so Strider’s FB rise is not as deadly for them. kinda the same reason they handled Verlander pretty well when he was w Houston

StockroomSnail

200 pitches minimum for Lynn.

StockroomSnail

Hahn might’ve called down, ha.

StockroomSnail

Signs of life for Colas’ bat.

Steve

He is looking hitterish tonight.

a-t

seems to be adjusting somewhat. he’s prolly nothing special but I think he’ll be an averageish RFer by next year

Denman

The Sox are playing as though they want to win this game regardless of the talent differencial.

As Cirensica

I hope Graveman doesn’t blow this one

funkerdan

well…. these guys are good

As Cirensica

Can’t remember the last save by Graveman

As Cirensica

Now I remember 😋

Foulkelore

This season is crap, but that was a hell of a baseball game.

As Cirensica

it was a good game indeed

HallofFrank

It’s nice to be reminded occasionally that watching baseball is supposed to be enjoyable.

As Cirensica

Miscellaneous fact:

Luis Arraez just had his 6th four hits game this season. The White Sox only have 2 of those as a team. Eloy and Benintendi with one a piece.

StockroomSnail

Oh I thought you meant games where the team got 4 hits 😉

a-t

Helluva play by Tim to end it. That was fun.

Foulkelore

Good footwork by Tim on that game ending double play too.

StockroomSnail

Nice play by Timmy to win it… any team that gives up 4+ to the Sox deserves to lose.
