Seeing Jorie Lueloff in the NASCAR race timeline commercial (the connection seems tenuous to me but a 1965 clip of her is featured) made me do some googling and I’m pretty sure she’s alive and living in Florida. Her husband, Richard Freidman who some of you will remember as sacrificial lamb Dick Daley trounced in the 1971 mayoral election, died in April and she was quoted in the obituaries.

Luis running a cool .900 OPS at the moment. Second among all CFs after only Corbin Carroll, who he is outdoing defensively; these two are presently tied for the CF fWAR lead at 3.6 apiece halfway through the year.
Very many things have gone badly this year, but not him. Should very much be starting the ASG in CF for the AL. He’s leading all AL OFs in fWAR and it’s not particularly close.
Huh, the dugouts have no guard rails… is Oakland the only place like that? I always notice it in older clips and older parks.
yea, pretty sure its the only one. eloy (who else!) got nailed by a foul ball here a couple years ago. there’s a few places where the bullpen guys are unprotected but not the whole team
Mark Kotsay manages just as I would expect him to manage by wanting his historically horrible team to sacrifice bunt while down 2 runs, even after a 3-0 count.
He is managing a team of Billy Hamiltons, but yeah.

Joe Kelly has been a really nice addition overall. Nothing but sunshine and butterflies when he comes into a game.
