Writing about the White Sox for a 16th season, first here, then at South Side Sox, and now here again. Let’s talk curling.
Banks wearing #57 to show he’s Buehrle +. Soft throwing these guys, pitching around mistakes. It’s throwback night. If only on both sides of the ball….
Sox Math prompted me to look up an article about the Sox-A’s doubleheader against the A’s on June 19, 1977. I enjoyed the article.
Thanks for sharing. There’s a lot in there, not the least of which was the blurb about those being the last major league games Dick Allen ever played, after the Oakland owner caught him trying to leave the park in the middle of the game the next night.
4 innings, 2 hits and no walks. This team is nothing but consistent
Heaney 57 pitches through 4, no walks. Sox hitters are consistent in not making the SP grind, virtual guarantee of 6-7 stress free innings. Keep the losses coming please, the sooner we get to the other side the better.
There’s some back-to-back life from the offense.
Back to back homers. The White Sox have to be the leaders in solo homers, right?
tied 12th with Mets if I’m reading this right with 49 solo (I suppose now it’s 51). Tied 15th overall with Astros at 82 (84 now).
51 sounds like too many

No argument, I feel like we hit very few home runs but I looked here and filtered to Bases Empty.
I think the stats from mlb.com are probably right even if they disagree with our gut feelings.
For me, the data and my gut feeling agree that the problem is that the Sox are last in MLB in both walks and OBP.
It is baffling we are worse than the Royals and the A’s in those categories. Bring Menechino back! LOL
The Sox have the highest chase% in MLB at 33.8%. The MLB average is 28.3%.
I’m not sure that is all on the coaches. Burger has a chase% of 44.1% and I think that’s just who he is.
We are wasting a full year of healthy Luis Robert.
Feels like every guy in the Sox bullpen has reverse splits.
At least Bummer was where he was supposed to be. Too many plays the Sox just fail to backup properly.
Come on Burger…. buy
I hate this team.
12 games under and we watch the same quality baseball every day. Eady outs, few runners on base. This is a bad hitting team and there’s no turn around in sight because i am afraid this is the real team. It’s bad.
