Foulkelore

This Robert guy is not bad.

Augusto Barojas

Nevin must not be bright. Robert has been red hot, and he is literally the only guy in their whole lineup to fear. I would walk him just about every time this series and let the hapless rest of the lineup beat them. Really stupid to pitch to him, honestly.

funkerdan

Let’s see how they treat him this time

funkerdan

White Castle diet and 2 curves.

As Cirensica

With a bunch of breaking balls. Not a single fastball.

Right Size Wrong Shape

Are you sure? I heard he was a selfish prima donna who would never reach his potential. Last I checked he was going to get traded for a bag of baseballs.

Some quotes about Robert, Jr. from the comments near the end of April:

“another example of poor planning/evaluation on their part”

“They paid these young guys too much, too early, trying to save money in the long run and it has severely backfired on them.”

“You can pay a young player early if he has the talent to perform, the integrity to keep working hard after the big payday, and the character to not let the money go to his head. These players don’t appear to have the last two.”

Today, we like him. If he’s goes into a slump, we’ll question his character.

ForsterFTOG

Sick burn.

funkerdan

Why do I have to click on the tweet thing to see the full Sox lineup almost 100% of the time but not the other team? do the Sox just do things wrong everywhere?

Foulkelore

With the typical Sox lineup, do you really want to see the 8 and 9 hitters anyway?

funkerdan

I can’t see the Pitcher either. Regardless of your well made argument, I’d like to see the bottom of the trash heap and who’s pitching. call me crazy 🤷

Foulkelore

At least you can see the circled “at” or “.vs” – that’s just critical.

funkerdan

I thought it was a “C” because it’s not connected in a full circle. now I know.

Foulkelore

This Zavala guy is bad.

Augusto Barojas

When he plays, with this version of Tim, they have near league worst at 2b, SS, RF, and catcher. Robert is great. But nobody else is even good.

No reason to throw Robert a hitable strike. Pitching to him as if he were Barry Bonds would make total sense, facing this crap lineup. Esp coming off player of the week honors.

As Cirensica

But he can catch unlike Yasmani who can’t handle Aaron Bummer stuff

Foulkelore

Cease’s efficiency bodes well for later with only 40 pitches through 3 innings.

Foulkelore

Also, the first 3 innings of this game took only 36 minutes.

As Cirensica

Holy Cow! Shohei

Right Size Wrong Shape

The bottom third of the order today is an embarrassment.

As Cirensica

It’s a Rick Hahn’s specialty.

I would not bet that in 2023 the White Sox would have a worst RF and 2B production than what we got in 2022…but here we are

Augusto Barojas

I would have bet that they would be exactly the same as last year. And the year before.

As Cirensica

Elvis showing many years of experience with the leather in that double play. Nice.

As Cirensica

8 innings, 2 hits, 2 walks. It’s pretty much unwatchable.

As Cirensica

ReLo….oh boy. Game over?

As Cirensica

Survived

hellotowel

Bummer was sent out there to make sure the Sox will be selling at the deadline.

chibaseball35

How is Bummer not in Charlotte, honestly? This guy doesn’t match up well against anyone. This has to be DFA time for Bum.

Right Size Wrong Shape

What a waste of an evening.
