Why didn’t they challenge the pick-off? This team is infuriating.
Probably cost Cease 12-15 pitches.
Hanser Alberto plays infield as If there were bricks attached to his wrist. When we officially give up, Iโm dying to see him and Burger on the same diamond
Wow this team is perfect. Half ass out of the box TA and then overslide the bag. Great stuff.
One inning in and they’re maxing out the fan-klling.
Playing all the hits. Runner at 3rd, 1 out. Swing at garbage and strike out.
Just need a TOOTBLAN and some embarrassing defensive miscue to complete the album.
Wasn’t TA a TOOTBLAN?
I don’t think it qualifies. TOOTBLAN implies a mental error baserunning, sliding and coming off the base is a technique error
I have faith that we can deliver a true TOOTBLAN so that judging issues do not come in to play. Hardest part will be getting someone on the bases, then weโre gold
And we got our defensive miscues. Plus Lopez blowing a lead. This is peak sox baseball
He overslid 2B, and if he hadnโt dogged it out of the box heโd have been in standing up. So thatโs a TOOTBLAN in my book
I like healthy Yoan. Heโs good.
I’d like to see a lot more of him.
That should be an error. He should have caught that ball.
Absolutely horrible at bat from Alberto.
Just made the same comment on Twitter. The only pitch he looked at was the only one in the zone.
Why does Sheets bounce off of the netting like it’s a trampoline, while Eloy falls into it like it’s a venus flytrap?
Relative density. Sheets, while very bulky, is 31% helium; Eloy however has various concentrations of heavy metals. Rough on joints and appendixes
Is Gavin Sheets a gold glove RF? Discuss.
Vaughn is so slow.
Fun hearing the announcer imply the White Sox may have known something about Abreu in not signing him when the guy they did sign has been replacement level a quarter of the way into the season.
Implying the white sox know anything is exposing your own ignorance, ha
Nice to see Zavala gunning out a runner. He’s really improved defensively since first called up, I think. Kinda a Zunino-lite guy now.
I like that when Luis hits a HR, it’s never a wall-scraper: it’s a fuckin nuke 425+
Ok! Robert gets us going with a solo bomb. This game must turn out great with that startโฆ
Fucking elevate the ball AV. A 91 mph fastball right down the pipe on 3-0 and you hit a grounder to short? 106.6 MPH off the bat ain’t much fuckin good if the damn launch is negative
Christ, we can’t break through to save our lives today. GIDP, brutal Ks, hard shots right at defenders with RISP, the whole package of failure. 1 run on 10 hits! The fuck!
Oh, nice, Lopez is in. Does Grifol just not care?
I think itโs fine to use him as a middle reliever, vs the bottom of the lineup w bases clear
Nope. He’s on the behind squad for me until further notice.
Helluva play by TA and Alberto. Just barely didnโt get Julks
Just tuning in…wow…we aren’t losing! I am drawn less and less to watch the White Sox. I have watched few innings this week. Let’s watch these last 2 innings. Might be entertaining. For a change.
LMAO!!!!!
Did I say entertaining? I am laughing at these minor leaguers playing. Andrew Vaughn can’t even handle 1st base.
They don’t get Dubon at first even if AV is there, he’s too fast with that high a chop
I disagree.
Me too.
This team is so stupid.
Still waiting for Vaughn’s breakout
AV’s ended now had 3 inning-ending PAs all with RISP, a la GIDP, 3-0 groundout, and now K above the zone. Awful day
And the GIDP felt like it took 8 full seconds to turn
Kelly being tricky with timing, while throwing 98-100 with plus curves and changeups and command is pretty fun. He’s been excellent since coming back from the groin/paternity leave missed time
Kelly has been downright insane lately. Just nasty
He’s a lot more fun to watch with the pitch clock.
crazy what a healthy yoan can do for this squad lol
a lead!! just need Graveman to lock it down now
Not going well thus far
Graveman only gave up a single hit with an EV of less than 60 mph and the winning run for Houston never came to the plate in the 9th. By Sox standards, Graveman was stellar.
I’m thinking we might actually win this one. Huh.
Yeah, Sack head guy may get a well-earned day off.
At the end of the 6th, Seby worked a 10 pitch at-bat and scorched a ball at 98.2 mph to line out to end the inning. At the end of the 8th, Seby swung at the first pitch and blooped single at 67.2 mph to drive in a run. Baseball is a funny game.
uh oh. ominous start from a karmic point of view
the winning pitcher is Luis Robert Jr.
