Fuck you Cairo for starting Leury in the of. You’re a bigger asshole than the Russa because you’re not senile.
In the rare defense of Leury, he is coming off a 2 hit game and is 2-5 off sunny gray. Let’s give it a shot
I expect Cairo will pinch hit for him in later innings if a big at bat presents itself
And see…my faith is rewarded with an error on literally the first play. So the rule is…..never defend Leury
The only thing wrong with that logic, is that it advocates starting Leury 2 days in a row. They sat Sheets after a 4 hit game recently.
Strong start
Really put off from this post because of the unnecessarily weak language. Unusual for this quality site.
I have a rule, that I try not to say anything on the internet that I wouldn’t say to someone’s face. I didn’t violate that rule here, my sentiments are genuine.
The starting of Leury in the OF when you have three OF’s and two of them Lefties sitting on the bench is the showing the world the same middle finger The Russa shows us when he pulls that bullshit. If Cairo gives the fans the middle finger, I figure he deserves one back.
So you are a pleasant person on the internet and in real life.
It would take a lot for me to say that to someone else, and starting someone who’s not my favorite player in LF isn’t one of them.
By your logic, it’s fair of me to conclude you’re a lot more judgmental on very limited information than tolerant and reasonable.
You said that you would walk up to someone you do not know and swear at them because of a lineup decision. I hope you were just exaggerating.
Let’s do this!!
Missing Eloy, TA, Robert, Moncada and Kopech this game. That’s a lot of talent.
it ain’t gonna be an easy task for sure
Joe Kelly is useless. What a terrible signing so far.
He is so damn painful to watch
Here’s an idea for an opener – a guy who throws strikes and has shown some ability to have a clean inning. Not the 100% opposite of that
I think very highly of Nick Gordon. I think he’s going to be a problem for a long time.
I don’t think highly of Gordon and that’s why I agree he’s gonna be a problem. For whatever reason, the Mauricio Dubon’s or Nicky Lopez’s or Jorge Mateo’s of the world the sox just can’t put away
I think he’s way more talented than those guys.
I was just checking out his numbers. What’s funny is he looks like he should be playing for us. High strikeout, low walk, medium avg, low power. Hell of an athlete. I’ll give you that. In my mind he’s what Hahn and Larussa see when they look at Leury. Super utility guy type. Except he’s actually that guy. I don’t see him achieving next level but I wouldn’t doubt it too hard if it did happen. Twins do get the most out of those types.
I have enough of Kelly. I don’t want to see him for the rest of the season unless it is in mop up innings
Maybe the Kelly meltdown will hurt less if we just get it out of the way early.
Imagine if the second year of Joe Kelly’s contract began with no one who had anything to do with Kelly’s acquisition remaining in the White Sox organization. (Including the guy who signs the checks.)
That is the only happy thought I have associated with Joe Kelly.
They could have reduced the number of players I hate to watch had they just put Garcia in as the SP. Not sure it would have been worse.
The frustrating thing about Kelly is that his stuff always looks great. I wish he would just go after guys and see what happens. When he makes a mistake it really hurts because he’s already walked two guys because he’s trying to be so perfect.
Anyone else prefer VV to Martin as the 6th starter? I know Martin has been okay, but his numbers at Charlotte make me question the sustainability of his performance.
Hell of a question. In some ways they are equal in that when they’re good they’re pretty good and when it’s bad it’s awful.
I lean Martin. Mostly since I’ve tapped out on this year. I feel like with VV, he is what he is. With Martin, there could be something there. So I’d like him to get experience this year in hopes our next year is much better and he can be a part of that in some way
Jake Cave killing us…what else is new?
Jake Cave has turned one double into an out and another double into a single/out.
Outfield defense looks fun.
Gotta love the HBP offense.
Dye level fakage
New dyed game
Hearing about Austin Meadows’ season has me wondering about the odd seasons of some of the Sox’s players.

Thanks for destroying that inning, blue. Sheesh.
Another good game from Martin.
I’m always half expecting Kepler to drop the ball.
Gavin Sheets to decide this game with a dinger
You need to be more specific. With Sheets in RF, that could mean that Minnesota hits the deciding home run off of his head.
13 homer
I meant by hbp galore
Why can’t Rey Lo go for 2 innings?
I was just about to post something similar. He only threw 11 pitches last inning. I would have left him out there for one more.
Hi, Billy
Bye, Billy
Oh, Romy.
Yaz!
No one is going to believe me, but when Yas stepped in I was thinking that he was going to light him up.
I don’t believe you
I told the Big Hurt during the game break, but I don’t think he heard me.
Lance looked like Braveheart leading the charge
I wish Abreu would run that fast on the base paths.
Phew
Big win … again!
One of the most bizarre double walk-offs I’ve ever seen. But I’ll take it
This should count as two wins, right?
This team is down a lot of key players and yet it feels SO different since Tony left town.
Tony can’t move fast enough to get ejected in brawls these days
I would almost agree until Cairo went full Russa and started Garcia in the OF, with 2 lefty OF’s on the bench.
Gray has reverse splits so those lefties are not such an advantage
Cairo would kick the crap out of Baldelli. I also give exhibit A Of my last point that Baldelli is a bigger meathead than even LaRussa.
I am thankful that Baldelli and Matheny are in our division.
that was the funniest ending to a game i have seen in a long time lmao
The White Sox are undefeated in Joe Kelly’s starts this year. Money well spent.
The Sox won the first game of. series. I guess pigs can fly.
Big Hurt is giddy. Nice to see.
This is a gift from the baseball gods. Most of the fans here were exhausted trying to find another way to describe their anger. It may be something or it may be short-lived but it feels like a light rain in the middle of a six-month drought.
