White Sox Minor Keys: Aug. 5, 2022

(Laura Wolff / Charlotte Knights)

A quick update on three promising home-run streaks:

*Lenyn Sosa homered for the second consecutive game, this one a game-tying three-run blast with the Knights down to their final out in the first of two walk-off victories over Gwinnett. He’s raised his line from .238/.278/.310 to .275/.316/.407 in the matter of two games.

*José Rodríguez has homered in three consecutive games and four out of five. I wrote about his recent surge in Friday’s Minor Keys.

*Romy González homered for the second straight night, and the third time in his four games rehabbing in the Arizona Complex League. He’s 7-for-13 with the three homers, a walk and no strikeouts, so he’s doing what he can to rejoin the Charlotte Knights and try to salvage what has been a miserable injury- and illness-hampered year.
