Luis Robert is officially back in action.
Sure, it’s in Winston-Salem, and he was lifted for a pinch runner in the fifth inning after singling in his third plate appearance of the night, but it’s action nevertheless.
Robert flied out twice to center field before dropping this shanked shot into right field, finishing his first night back at a ballpark 1-for-3.
In other significant news, Micker Adolfo also broke through the Birmingham wall to warrant a promotion to Charlotte, but I’ll be covering that in a separate post.

My worries about the future of the rotation lessened a good amount with the re-signing of Lynn but man the Lambert, Lopez, Stiever types aren’t doing much in AAA to give confidence about any of them having much of a big league future. Sox minor league starting pitching depth is worrisome.
Fangraphs folded in draft picks to team prospect lists
2 Kath
3 Montgomery
12 Burke
27 McDougal
They also bumped Jake Burger up to 7 on the list and changed his future value from I think 35+ to 40+.
Kelley is the only player graded 45 or above. The rest of the division has 44 such players.
I heard Longenhagen I think on Keith Law’s podcast say that pro scouts are seeing Kelley and not understanding how he got such a big bonus. So it sounds like the scouting matches the statistical performance. I assume he will be moved down when they do a full re-rank.
We’ll see. I don’t know what to think. If true, maybe the fact he fell to the Sox in the 2nd round was a sign other teams weren’t as high on hin as it seemed
There was some specuation about the Sox and Lucroy, but looks like he cleared waivers and accepted a move to Gwinnett by the Braves
Robert is starting consecutive days, so that’s good.
Lane Ramsey was promoted to Charlotte today making it his third team so far this season in the good direction.
