2021 MLB Draft: Day 1 Draftchat
One good thing about the MLB draft being moved back to July — we’ll have three days to devote full attention to it, rather than covering the players in between games that count.
It all starts tonight at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN and MLB Network. The White Sox will only make one pick tonight, as MLB is pushing back the second round into the second day of the draft.

I was literally typing this question just now. It’s amazing to me that he’s still there. Wonder if the White Sox would be willing to go over on him and draw away from their 2-5 pool money.
So much for that idea. Big get for Miami.
Five more teams pick before the White Sox. Best remaining are Ty Madden, Matt McLain, Jordan Wicks, Anthony Solometo, Joe Mack, and Will Taylor, per MLB.com. Colson Montgomery also still on the board, though if Wicks somehow falls to 22, I can’t imagine the White Sox passing on him.
