It sounded perfect when they broadcasted from separate locations last time, but today we’re getting Stone a bit later than Benetti, so it sounds like Benetti keeps cutting Stone off.

Damn it. Eloy hurt himself on the wall again. He’s down and hurt his knee, shoulder, or both. It didn’t even look all that bad.
I think the problem was he was hanging on the wall by the crook of his elbow. When he came down his left arm looked limp from the shoulder down. Dislocated?
I agree that it looked like a dislocation. If so, I feel like he could be back to hitting within a couple weeks, but fielding would now be even riskier for him than before.
No, but that’s not the full equation. The rest of the equation is who plays LF instead vs. who would be the DH with Eloy in LF. So, for instance, if you could get away with Eloy in LF, you get the benefit of Vaughn’s bat in the lineup vs. say, Nick Williams or Billy Hamilton.
We’ve said it here so many times- this team is loaded with star power. But their lack of quality depth is the only real thing that can stop them. Having Nick Williams as the regular left fielder for a month would be unacceptable.
I think Williams could turn out to be just fine. He doesn’t have the highest ceiling, but when healthy he’s been a capable major leaguer.
The bigger problem is that we only have 2 spots (DH/1B) and 3 guys to fill them (Abreu, Vaughn, Jimenez). All 3 of those guys are virtually untouchable in trades. I don’t like playing EJ in the field, but I honestly don’t know the best solution here.

Looks like shoulder – He’s not moving his left arm, like he’s trying to keep his shoulder immobilized.
Andrew Vaughn – your Opening Day LF.
Or … Billy Hamilton. Where’s Ugh?
Eloy’s injuries are exhibit A that he is the dumbest baseball player I have ever seen.

Ive asked it before and I’ll ask it again: is Eloy in LF for 115 games a year really more valuable than having him in the lineup for 150+ games?

Eddie Rosario. Oh wait, Rick didn’t sign him.
Yep, or Joc Pederson, or Kyle Schwarber, or any number of other affordable options to be at least a depth bat with ability to play OF.

Leary Garcia and/or Adam Engel soon thereafter.
Yeah but that basically means you are counting on Eaton to play everyday. Even against lefties.
Granted Engel needs to get healthy but Engel in right against a lefty with Leury in left. Did I miss an update on Engel??
I saw Engel is expected out 2-4 weeks.

Pederson I believe didn’t want to be a platoon player, much less a depth option.
The nice thing about watching a Billy Hamilton is when he actually gets a hit it’s like a pleasant little surprise
That could be said for about a dozen different players the Sox have employed the last several years.
On a lighter note to today’s proceedings: Timmy, still awesome. This interview is a blast.
I’m glad the majority of those runs came from some no name relievers and Ryan Burr instead of someone important.
