SUMMARY

Payroll: $146.6 Million (plus Yolmer's minimum salary)

GOALS: Balance out the lineup, put pressure on young starters to preform, make bullpen even tougher. Pederson is greater than the hopes of what they thought Mazara might be. Pairing him up with Engle in RF is good cot damn business. Stroman adds a frontline starter with greater playoff numbers than Bauer. Giolito, Stroman and Keuchel will match up with any team in October. With only 2 spots in the rotation; Dunning, Kopech, Cease, Rodon and Lopez have no margin for error. They can pitch in Chicago or Charlotte. Pressure creates diamonds or burst pipes. Hendricks levels up the Closer. Throwing Hendricks, Bummer and Marshall at the end of games...MERCY!!!

And rolling out another high caliber rookie for the 4th straight year, we get Andrew Vaughn splitting time with Abreu at 1B.

At bottom of roster, the Braintrust will need to figure out what to do about backup C. Do they focus on defense to compliment Grandal. Do they sacrifice that for more offense?. Garcia becomes the Super-Utility guy he was always meant to be. Sanchez over Mendick in my book and of course Engle.
