Podcast: Arizona Fall League Preview with Jim Callis
Guest: Jim Callis, MLB.com
Our guest this week is Jim Callis of MLB.com, and he gets the show started with a look at the Arizona Fall League rosters, the White Sox Top 30 prospects, and how stacked the upcoming 2020 MLB Draft could be.ย
Josh and Jim ponder if this is the last September of the rebuild. Plus, remembering the Jon Jay era and the important lessons to be learned by the front office, and answer your questions in P.O. Sox.
The 2nd and 3rd pick both high school pitchers have both pitched under 3 innings of organized ball since being drafted. I understand the obvious attempt to limit innings but what level do you see them staring next year at ?

Hey Jim, interesting to see Acuรฑa Jr steal so many bags for the Braves this year. Whatโs going on with Yoรกn in that category? Is this something heโs simply not comfortable with, or is it a risk issue given his injury issues since coming up to Chicago?

With the rare firing of someone on the Sox staff, what are your thoughts on the departure of analytics guy, Matt Lisle? #POSox

Great Callis chat, Josh.
Thanks for talking about Warmowski at the end of the Patreon mailbag. Rob was one of those Chicago institutions whose work and writing made you proud to be a South Sider, a music fan, and, yes, a Sox fan. Perceptive without ever being pompous. Kind. Compassionate. Funny as hell. He would have made a wry comment about dying on Labor Day Weekend, of all times. I am very sad he is gone.
