White Sox Minor Keys: July 13, 2018

Alec Hansen leaves his start early, and Carson Fulmer pitches without starting

News you can use:

*Baseball Prospectus released its updated Top 50 Prospects list. The Sox placed four — Eloy Jimenez (No. 4), Michael Kopech (No. 15), Dylan Cease (No. 30!) and Luis Robert (No. 32).

*Alec Hansen left his start after three erratic innings. The trainer came out to visit him in the third, and he seemed to point to his problematic forearm … yet he finished the inning. It was his only 1-2-3 frame, capped off by his only strikeout.

This is the main reason why Hansen wasn’t seen on the BPro list. He was the 40th-best prospect on its preseason rankings.

*Corey Zangari is now slugging .735 at Great Falls. You’ll see why below.

*Carson Fulmer made his first appearance out of the bullpen this season for Charlotte. It went well.

I applaud you for taking the first step, Carson. Now the healing can begin.

Really can’t afford to have Hansen AND Dunning fail.

Too true.  Sox need their minor league pitchers to rake, so they can trade for position players.

Right Size Wrong Shape

I think the last thing the pitchers need to do is rake.
