First impression: Jake Peavy
Here’s Jake Peavy’s second inning in Charlotte on Thursday night:
Sorry, don’t have time for much else.
Writing about the White Sox for a 16th season, first here, then at South Side Sox, and now here again. Let’s talk curling.
Great stuff, Jim. Must have been a pain to put it all together.
How did Peavy look in person? To my untrained eyes his pitches seemed to move pretty well (especially that sinker/2-seamer that darted in on the RHBs), but perhaps you have a different take.
Yup, he had great movement. The only guy to square him up was the one who singled to left-center.
Thanks for the vimeo Jim. I never knew how much Peavy slung his pitching arm. I hope we don’t rush him, I’d rather give him an extra start in the minors and not have him come up and get whipped.
I’m glad flowers handled peavy pretty well last night; I was a little concerned about his D. Peavy had some good movement on his pitches last night and Flowers looked to handle them perfectly
