Writing about the White Sox for a 16th season, first here, then at South Side Sox, and now here again. Let’s talk curling.

a portion of the schedule was released. I’m thinking about either the cardinals or brewers (doubt I can swing both from this distance) and possibly a west coaster of Angels and Padres.
Tim hitting 2nd? It is refreshing to see Grifol used the beeak to come up with good and original ideas
He never thought about it.
Anyone else having trouble with the sound on NBC Sports? I’m getting nothing but a loud crackling noise. No other channels I’ve tried are having an issue, including the other NBC Sports channel. I’m on YouTube TV in Iowa.
No, it’s fine for me.
Thanks. I’ll soon be reading. My daughter just said, “Now I’m glad it’s on silent.”
I have the same problem on YouTubeTV in a far southwest suburb of Chicago that I prefer not to reveal
This should be fun series. Very competitive so far.
Welp, he threw a strike
this is looking promissing
I’ve never seen a more predictable grand slam in my life.
He started the game by throwing 14 straight fastballs.
This is going great thus far
Men vs. boys.
The Sox are determined to be worse in the 2nd half than the first. It’s going to take some effort, but I think they can do it.
Watch the Sox finish with the league’s worst record and end up with pick #7 after the draft lottery.
They have a shot at being a top 3 draft picker
A game based on the APBA cards of the respective teams’ first halves would start this way.
4 runs, 6 baserunners
1 hit…the Kopech special.
Kopech off to a great 2nd half start. Threw a 1-hitter in his first start back!
we have how many starting pitchers? this is a rough start to a second half…
I’ll bet Boston wishes they had Kopech and Moncada back.
for scapegoats?
Everyone involved in that trade has had injury issues and that ‘s always a risk. Our Sox have gotten 19.2 bWAR from Moncada and Kopech while Sale has produced 10.7 bWAR for Boston. Boston will end up paying Sale almost $155M for his time there.
People who think Sale should’ve been traded for more than Moncada and Kopech will be be disappointed repeatedly in the coming sell-off.
Sale has a ring
The White Sox: Extremely defeated
The White Sox Brand: Undefeated
Andrew Vaughn is ungood
The core has so much talent. Heyman should’ve listed Kopech among the untouchables. Just fix up a few things around the edges, let Grifol’s culture take hold, maybe bring in a few more pieces from the 2015 championship core like Eric Hosmer who they could play in RF, and I see multiple parades coming.
Just turned it on, I told my gf I’m guessing down by 3, she said 1. I forgot Mikey K was pitching so I said you might be closer. Nope down 4, lmao! At least we got Gordo!
The team took on a new identity in the 2nd half of 2021 when Larussa took his foot off the gas. He let people rest, dog it on purpose, and they limped to the finish to have to play the best team in baseball. Burn it to the ground on purpose before it collapses due to poor engineering. Arson is always more honorable than slow miserable death.
Too much Larussa blaming. Jose Ramirez doesn’t need a manager telling him to play hard. He does it cause he has desire and wants to be great. This team’s issues is 100% the players. Not good enough and they don’t give the effort to make up the difference
Agreed, the manager can do so much. The team just stinks.
You know things are bad when Sox fans are checking to see how many years of control Toussaint has remaining. (three)
I wonder if the point comes where the Sox decide to put Kopech in the bullpen and see if he can stay healthy and thrive there. When the goal was to get to a post-season series, it made sense to envision him as a guy who could start a playoff game, and even dominate, and to try to work toward that. But if the Sox are not competing in ’24 and possibly ’25, they need starters who can eat innings. And starts that go to guys learning on the job should go to ones who will be around when the team is ready to contend.
so… the answer is 1. we have 1 starter after this year.
If the team is not competing, just find guys that can stand out there for at least five innings consistently. They don’t have to be very good. Toussaint could be one.
this shall be rough. give me another beer, please.
Jason might have better luck selling submarine tours instead of 2024 White Sox season tickets.
This team is a bunch of down and out losers. No heart. No TWTW
Bryan Shaw couldn’t find a job this year for a reason. He should be DFAed tonight.

Thank God for Touki Toussaint.
Losing 9-0 is the dictionary definition of a boring baseball team.
OK, so we lost 9-0 to Braves, we got 5 Hs fellas. Plus, one of Hahn’s UNTOUCHABLES – Vaughn – got 2 of them.
TA reacted to the double play ball like he thought it could go foul. Didn’t run to first. Ball was just by the shortstop ffs. Maybe he just needs glasses. What an effort
I’m also loving the Grifol-Hahn roster construction, keeping 3 Cs. LOL. How’s this idea for Sunday: Grandal at 1B, Carlos Perez at DH and Seby behind the plate?
