Alright, let’s do this again. Go Sox.

It’s like Rick Hahn wrote this.

Attaboy Yaz. Looking better and better at the plate.

As Cirensica

Oh boy…Elvis is having a series

a-t

The Elvis revenge tour is pretty damn fun

roke1960

Since joining the Sox, Elvis now has 20 RBI. Abreu has 19 since the All-star break.

As Cirensica

Doing that while hitting leadoff mostly

roke1960

He needs to stay there if/when Tim comes back.

Not if TA comes back healthy.

roke1960

I don’t think I’d put a rusty TA in the top spot as soon as he comes back if Elvis continues to hit like this.

Right Size Wrong Shape

I wouldn’t overcomplicate it. TA is a better hitter than Andrus.

As Cirensica

He is a better hitter, but right now with Elvis riding a hot streakand TA coming off a lengthy IL stay, things are a be more complicated. The White Sox don’t have a lot of games left to waste TA’s at bats until he finds his rhythm. I honestly think Jim M is right that we won’t be seeing TA anytime soon.

Right Size Wrong Shape

Well, right. Anderson’s not coming back tomorrow. By the time TA’s ready to come back I doubt Andrus will still be hitting like this. If he is, great. He can hit that way batting 8th.

I guess it all depends on when TA come back.

Joliet Orange Sox

The Sox have hit seven balls with EV over 100 mph through two innings. Great to see.

The broadcast was talking about Edwin Jackson announcing his retirement. I think it was probably not a tough decision for him since he hasn’t pitched in the big leagues since the end of the 2019 season (the Sox knocked him around when he came in in middle relief for the Tigers in his last MLB appearance).

I agree he had a really interesting career. I expect many will remember when he made his MLB debut for the Dodgers on his 20th birthday and pitched well in that game and a few others as a September call-up in 2003. He was very hyped going into the 2004 season as the next Dodger pitching star.

The impossible no hitter

Adam

I remember him with the sox. Always really liked him, seemed like a good teammate, good guy. I’ll remember him in the same boat as javy Vazquez. You’d watch his stuff and think, how does anyone hit this guy? Just could never harness it

Joliet Orange Sox

I just realized that Edwin Jackson and Jason Benetti were born on the exact same day (although on opposite sides of the world). I think the fact Edwin and Jason are so much alike is further proof (as if anyone needed more) that astrology predicts our destinies.

The Sox for sure need to keep Elvis in the lineup when Anderson returns and I see Elvis has not played 2B but I think that’s where he has to go. Like him or not Anderson has been a spark plug and while not real good defensively I’d rather see Elvis at 2nd just because I think Anderson would suck there. And he’d probably cop an attitude if he had to move. I wish one of them would have played 2b sometime in their career.

As Cirensica

I can’t believe we are still in the 6th inning

Right Size Wrong Shape

Pretty horrible at bat by Abreu there.

Thankfully Eloy picked him up. Can’t believe he’s the guy everybody’s jonesing to trade.

His trade value is going up for sure.
