White Sox Wake Up Call: August 5, 2022

Last night: Johnny Cueto pitched a complete game, but Andrew Vaughn’s poor defensive night and the bats went silent (again), resulted in another frustrating loss.

Tonight: Another Watch Party as Dylan Cease takes the ball trying to keep pace in the AL Cy Young race.

Down on the Farm: Quiet day as Kannapolis hit three homers in a loss.

Around MLB: Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals will play in London next year. Speaking of the Cardinals, they catch the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central. Lucky for the White Sox, both Minnesota and Cleveland lost.

Foster was warming in the pen in the 7th and Cueto started the inning with only 73 pitches thrown, 4 of the first 5 batters should’ve been outs too. There wasn’t a need to rush or abuse going on here. As you say, they had their full lineup available and still they struggled to score even 2 runs and with no Leury to blame either.
