Especially since I’d swear the Rangers are actively targeting Andrew Vaughn. Outside of 1 Pollock fly ball in the 9th yesterday I can’t remember any other outfielders in play.
Kopech looking nasty tonight! How about some runs now to make it easy

If Miles Teller doesn’t star in the Dane Dunning biopic there is no justice.

Hey I have an idea, move grandahl to 2nd spot, lets sit Robert and Harrison, lets play Garcia and continue playing moncada . Just can’t make this shit up. Slap me hard, this is a frickin nightmare.
If Tony is managing next year, unless they make some unbelievably cool and surprising offseason moves, this team will simply not be worth watching next year either.
I was curious, the worst any team has done this year in Texas for a series of at least 3 games is 10 runs. It was the Nationals and it was 3 games. Any 4 game series goes 12-16-20 runs, in that range.
We’re at 4 through 21 innings at bat. Can we get to 10 runs?
1 infield single through 4 innings vs Dunning. Pathetic

Unless they come back and win tonight, the Sox will need to win tomorrow to avoid going 6-6 in these 12 games against Colorado, Oakland, KC, and Texas. Strong.
Len Kaspar (with Stoney’s help) calmly explaining how La Russa is being smart not to use any high leverage relievers in this game and how its a good thing because we might need them tomorrow.
To think going into this season some had this team with World Series aspirations!? How’s that looking? Lol! Too many with their rose-colored glasses on. What an embarrassment. Just sad.
There have been many boring. This one’s to the infuriating column for me. Terrible plan/approach as always.
Nobody works a count, spoils the pitchers pitch. It’s always well he’s around the zone so we have to swing at everything. Weak contact. It’s a broken record but I don’t think this team lacks heart. They lack intelligence and maturity. As hitters. Abreus got it. Unfortunately he’s the only one.
Working a count is simply about not swinging at bad ones.
Sometimes the best pitch you get is the first one and you’ve gotta be ready to drill it. The Sox idea of working a count is taking strikes, falling behind then swinging at the bad ones
Putting the slowest runner in baseball and one of the wotst hitters in baseball hitting 2nd is one of the most idiotic things LaClown has done. That’s saying something.
Oh, come on its not that boring. What about those handbags between Grandal and Smith at the end of the 7th inning? That was pretty exciting. And don’t forget about that hit by Moncada in the 2nd inning. That was fantastic.
My sons and I flew out for the game today. That was absolutely the most pathetic offensive performance this year. This team is a reflection of their manager. An utter disgrace. And unfortunately we’ll be there tomorrow too.
And the side strikes out in the 8th, so now they can’t even get it to the infield let alone out of it.
I’ll leave the rest to Jim’s recap but for now it’s 2 balls out of the infield, 13 ground balls and 9 strikeouts.
Yaz decided to breakup the infield fun but not the shutout. In other action, Cleveland won and the Twins are winning 5-2. Was nice to be in 2nd place for almost 24 hours.
Getting BABIPed early it seems.
I don’t love the idea of putting maybe the worst defensive outfield trio in the majors behind a fly ball pitcher in a rather cavernous outfield.
Especially since I’d swear the Rangers are actively targeting Andrew Vaughn. Outside of 1 Pollock fly ball in the 9th yesterday I can’t remember any other outfielders in play.

Not looking like it
Can you score 6 runs without hitting it out of the infield?
Leave this sweatball kopech in for another hitter and it will be bad
4IP and we’ve hit 1 ball out of the infield. 7 ground balls.

5IP and we are up to 2 balls out of the infield, woohoo!!
9 ground balls.
According to the announcers:
Oller threw a great game
Lynch great game
Ragans great game
Otto great game
Dunning great game
I wonder what kind of parlay odds you could get of all these guys throwing a great game on any team not us
It’s……historic
6IP and 2 balls out of the infield. 12 ground balls.
7IP and only 2 balls out of the infield. This is getting monotonous.
13 ground balls.
Sometimes we just need to bear witness. But since you are doing it so well, I might go ahead and switch to another MLB game…

Yeah, thanks for that fellas.
It’s a great strategy to lose by 8 runs to save their best bullpen arms. Shrewd.

I’d still love to be proven wrong just to clarify. I’d happily eat a large serving of crow.
I have seen boring games, and believe me, there has been a lot this year, but this one takes the top.

What gets tiring is them fouling back pitches right down the middle over and over, it’s been like this all fricken year.

You weren’t enthralled by their one hit tonight through 8? Next game, maybe their one hit can make it out of the infield to excite us all.

I hope they win, and you and your sons have a good time

Two out nine run rally in the 9th! Here we go!
Maybe not.
Nuts.
Almost!
