I don’t want to get overly excited. I’ve been hurt before. Recently.

tommytwonines

What’s the delay? Josh running on the field? Jeez, put a shirt on.

Jim Kaat jersey retirement. They mentioned on the broadcast yesterday that game wouldn’t start until 2.

Joliet Orange Sox

I think the Twins are honoring Kaat. Jason talked last night about today’s game starting later because of that.

tommytwonines

Jim Kaat’s two best years in mlb based on bwar we’re in 1974 and 75, 7.1 and 7.7! Not even close.

The team? Your Chicago White Sox.

Marty34

Tip of the hat to Anderson for playing banged up when the team needs him most. Leadership.

a-t

Yeah, the leg soreness he’s feeling was visible on his face on that leaping catch yesterday

a-t

Gavin just under that one. A few degrees lower than 38 and it’s outta here. Great PA tho.

dwjm3

I hope Lance isn’t cooked

dsbatt

We would be better off if he were on the IL. He’s got nothing left. What a waste of payroll by Hahn yet again.

Shingos Cheeseburgers

Lynn’s ERA has now crossed ‘The Keuchel Line’

soxfan

Just checked the box score and – I know I’m going out on a limb here but – I don’t think he’s okay.

Maybe I should just pack a lunch and leave him alone.

As Cirensica

Is this the homerun derby thread?

dwjm3

Hopefully Cease is on tomorrow …we have to take 3 of 4

a-t

Ah! Well, nevertheless,

a-t

Juan Soto apparently available. Would take a king’s ransom but probably worth it

GrinnellSteve

We’ve had great luck with hitters coming over from Washington.

As Cirensica

Only when named Adam

GrinnellSteve

Adam Juan Soto.

a-t

To be fair, we’ve had at least as much luck with sending hitters to Washington

As Cirensica

Rocco Baldelli indeed transformed into La Russa

dwjm3

Honestly he has always sucked. He deserved to be fired for that Twins collapse last year.

Foulkelore

C’mon, Gavin, just one good swing

Foulkelore

Ditto for the 8th.

GrinnellSteve

Kepler is really a lousy outfielder with a good arm. He was lucky there.

a-t

Damn. Rally ending on a .620 xBA rocket. Still, the Twins bullpen is rather less than shutdown

As Cirensica

Maybe we should stop hitting the hard. Moncada hit a double almost a bunt.

As Cirensica

So many catches in the warning track…wow

BuehrleMan

With two outs Moncada just broke back to second base on Pollock’s line drive to the shortstop. Wonderful.

Foulkelore

Yep, good catch. I saw that too.

BuehrleMan

That should be a $5000 fine in kangaroo court.

phillyd

Nah, he didn’t want another HOTBLAN incident.

a-t

AJ is now 0 for 4 with a K. His three balls in play: GIDP, .450 xBA. Lineout, .620 xBA. Lineout, .500 xBA. Tough luck day ending a couple of rallies

Just John

The likelihood of that 0-3 is .116

a-t

With spray angle, probably higher given defensive positioning, but still a pretty snakebit day

ayeitsfabes

Line up spots 5 – 8, 0 – 16. I’m amazed we scored 3.
