White Sox Minor Keys: April 5, 2022
With the Triple-A baseball season underway, the Minor Keys are back.
If you’re new to Sox Machine or simply just forgot, the Minor Keys are a morning roundup of the action on the farm. We jog through the box scores, relaying the performances from prospects and players of note, relaying highlights and lowlights, injuries, roster moves, trends and anything else of interest in Minor League Baseball.
Prospects can play their way on and off the lists, and members of the Sox Machine community can lobby for personal favorites who may be off the radar.
For the first few days of the season, the Minor Keys will only consist of Charlotte box scores, as the Triple-A season begins earlier and ends later than the other levels. You can read the FutureSox preview of the Charlotte Knights here.

*Pรฉrez’s poke:
It’s good to see action that counts.
Nice job by Knights relievers: 4.1 IP, 3 H, 2 BB, 6K, 0 R.
If Perez keeps flashing intermittent power he might turn into a legitimate prospect
If the power is to be believed, he may have been a Rule 5 guy to go somewhere. Now they have the year to see what he can do again.
Watching the game last night, I think Kade McClure could be a AAAA-quality SP. In a pinch this season, I think he could help with his two-seam/slider combo to generate grounders.
If he provides some credible SP depth this year, that’s a huge win for Getz and this farm system.
Jake Burger pulled after reaching base in his first 3 plate appearances of game 2. Hope heโs ok!
He was thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double and it looks like he didnโt return after that.
