Writing about the White Sox for a 16th season, first here, then at South Side Sox, and now here again. Letโs talk curling.

Funkhouser did his job with a scoreless 2 2/3. DET gives the hurler wheel another spin. I like it.
As a baseball fan generally, I don’t mind a little grindy success. As a White Sox fan specifically, looking forward to moving on to the next, new chapter of this afternoon’s baseballing. Let’s go boys.
Other pitchers on a 3-2 count: Intense mind games and erratic pitch selection
Rodan on a 3-2 count: Just throw a fastball at 99mph middle middle. Try and hit it,bro.
Eaton with an infield hit. It’s to the point where I don’t even root for him to get a hit. I would rather they face the truth of how bad he is, and stop playing the guy.
Kind of glad he lost the no-no actually. Pitch count over 90 in the 7th, did not want to see him throw close to 120 pitches trying to get it.
2-2 pitch in that PA to Haase was a tough low slider but in the strike zone. Called Ball 3.
I feel a decent fielder would have caught that double in left.
Cโest la vie.
.230 xBA per Statcast.
Edit: Absolutely playable.
Just tuning in. Now what happened to Goodwin? Can we just trade for Harper at this point?
Tony pinch hit Vaughn for him against a lefty, trying to break the game open in the 5th. I like the thinking, it was just kinda antithetical for TLR to decrease defensive value in a close game
I don’t know. With Rodon on the bump vs the Kitties, I think TLR is pretty justified in trying to get more offense going. Would it have been better for Rodon to have Goodwin in left to flag that fly ball? Probably but hindsight is 20/20.
I agree. I meant that it is not how Tony has used his bench up to this point. Typically his substitutions have been defensively minded, this one was the opposite
I LIKE BIG BUNTS AND I CANNOT LIE
