Yeah, that was a little scary, because I still think of 2019 Garver, but he hasn’t really hit well since. He can still run into a homer with that power any time though.

Sorry Simmons, all the Gold Gloves in the world can’t save you from the Yerminator.
One concern even though the Sox are up 7 going into the 9th. With Ruiz coming in, every Sox bullpen arm save Hendricks and Kpech has been used in the first day of a 7 game homestand. Sure, they didn’t throw a lot of pitches individually but Rodon and Lynn hopefully can go deep into their respective games.
No one threw a ton of pitches though. I don’t know if I would keep Huer’s leverage level this high. Besides the Bummer/Hendricks 8th/9th combo, Huer seems like Tony’s go to for high leverage relief. Not sure if that is great. I might switch Ruiz and Foster in terms of leverage level to see if Ruiz can stand up to more pressure.
Cease looked great in the first.
Moncada continues to get great contact but straight at fielders.
Woof.
It’s always the Damn Twins.
Cease did not look great in the second (though that pop-up that dropped while watched intently by Grandal and Moncada didn’t help).
Love seeing the patented Grandal bat drop.
After Mercedes stole his best move by drawing a walk, Grandal was left with no alternative but to homer.
Was that a send or did Vaughn blow through a stop sign?
Well, that wasn’t great, but it wasn’t awful. If Cease gets to the point where this is an example of a bad start for him, he’s going to be just fine.
And if Yoan grabs that popup, we might have an entirely different conversation on our hands.
Time to DFA Foster and bring back McRae
DFA Foster? Wasn’t he a rookie last year? I think he has some options remaining.
Yeah, I just call being banished to the shadow realm, aka sent to the minor leagues, DFA for everyone.
Arraez, as good as he is, can’t hit lefties, so good decision there.
Just glad the Pinch hitting for Garver came up empty.

Oh, Nicky, no, Nicky
Tony must have figured out the hit a home run sign.
Tim has saved Madrigal twice today
Twins Outfielders doing what I like to call “Pulling a White Sox”
Polanco must be watching too much Ted Lasso. That soccer kick in the opposite direction of the runners was not the best way to get the ball back in.

Marshall too, but I can see why one wouldn’t count him right now.
