Why is Collins starting a day game after a night game? Is Grandal hurt?

I sure hope Boras missed the fine print in Rodon’s latest contract about the White Sox getting team options for the next five years.
I was so angry when they re-signed him. I cringed when Rick initially talked about maybe bringing him back after the non-tender. Very happy to be wrong about him.
I wasn’t exactly angry, but I was also wrong. I wished that they spent a little more to get one of the guys in the next higher tier (Quintana specifically). I’m also happy to be wrong.
Not watching the game, but it seems that TLR decided to put together the worse roster he could to back up Rodon.

I am once again growing weary of the bunting
eaton is really something. he’s like the textbook example of ‘playing the right way’ from like 40 years ago. knows all the unwritten rules. bunts when he shouldn’t. etc.
and he’s just totally insufferable to me. seemingly to players, too. i’m sure TLR just loves him, confidently explaining to our better players nonsensical bullshit that some backwards idiot taught him and that he himself never questioned.

I love the subtle shade from Benetti: “The Sox have sacrificed bunt three times today… each time with the leadoff man aboard. Still scoreless.”
Bunting with Billy there was the only time it made some sense. That would have been quite ironic if TLR woulda swung away.
Benetti’s subtle shade is his best quality, other when he pulls out “the sword”.

Why was the Cardinals manager ejected during a pitching change? I know the answer is Joe West, but what are the details?
It looks like a foreign substance was noticed on new pitcher’s cap. They made him change caps, and the manager came out to complain and must have said some magic words while arguing. They confiscated the hat, probably for inspection.
West made Gallegos change his cap because of a spot on the visor.
Nobody taught him that you put it under the visor, not on top
