My first instinct upon hearing this news is they are trying to secure Alex Cora before the Tigers hire him. But we shall see.

I want A.J. Hinch. His big mistake was that he didn’t report his team for cheating. He was opposed to it. Cora dreamed it up.

Either of those men would emphasize analytics, for better or ill. Hiring one could be a signal of how the front office will operate going forward.

Renteria out? I’m shocked. Tweet from Cemma670.

True?

Ricky just got fired!! What a shocker. The last time Jerry fired someone like this was when he fired Doug Collins. Let’s hope this turns out the same way.

Nightengale, so this is the party line. Apparently, we weren’t the only people annoyed with running Jimmy Cordero out there every day.

The Chicago #WhiteSox loved Rick Renteria as a person, but it was his bullpen management down the stretch, and in Game 3 vs. the #Athletics, that prompted his firing as manager.

Nice timing on this post, Jim. I’ll get to it after I read about Renteria’s shocking firing. 🙂
