The AZL White Sox send some players Great Falls' way

The minor-league affiliate reviews are coming, but the minor-league shuffle has to wrap up first.

For instance, with the AZL White Sox finished for the season, Camilo Quinteiro was promoted to Great Falls as the Voyagers wrap up their regular season next week, then open the Pioneer League playoffs. Quinteiro, a 21-year-old Cuban, ended his AZL season with a six-game hitting streak that gave him of the more unique lines in the system: .286/.436/.320 with three extra-base hits in 46 games.

Charlotte 4, Gwinnett 3

  • Ryan Cordell went 2-for-5 with a strikeout.
  • Eloy Jimenez was good again who cares
  • Seby Zavala was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Biloxi 7, Birmingham 0

  • Joel Booker had the only Barons hit in two at-bats, along with two walks.
  • Luis Basabe was 0-for-4 with a strikeout.
  • Danny Mendick went 0-for-2 with two walks.
  • Alec Call, 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts.
  • Felix Paulino: 4 IP, 7 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 4 BB, 0 K, 2 HR, 1 WP

Winston-Salem 7, Down East 4

  • Luis Robert went 1-for-3 with a walk and an HBP, and 1-for-2 on the basepaths.
  • Luis Gonzalez singled, walked twice and struck out twice.
  • Nick Madrigal and Ti’Quan Forbes were both 1-for-5.
  • Blake Rutherford had a big game: 3-for-5 with a homer and a strikeout.
  • Gavin Sheets went 2-for-4 with a walk and two strikeouts.
  • Laz Rivera went 1-for-3 with a strikeout and an HBP.
  • Tyler Johnson: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K.

Kannapolis 6, Hagerstown 3

  • Luis Curbelo went 1-for-4 with a sac fly and a strikeout.
  • Steele Walker 0-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout.
  • Evan Skoug went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts.
