BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem (Jim Margalus)

A couple notes from Winston-Salem:

*Blake Rutherford exceeded his 2017 home run total by homering again tonight. It barely cleared the fence, but it was an extra-base hit either way.

*Micker Adolfo has a believer in Keith Law:

Butts: Is Micker Adolfo for real? Can I get excited yet?
Keith Law: Yeah, I would. He may take a step back when he gets to Birmingham and faces AA pitching, but he has always had enormous tools. I think I said in last week’s chat that he could barely play baseball when he was signed. He’s come a long way, baby.

Trey Michalczewski also had to be pulled after his first AB after taking a pitch off the elbow.

Pensacola went 4-for-4 on stolen bases versus Collins (two pitchers.) On the season, 20 SB / 9 CS.

Scheduled SP: Kopech, Clarkin, Cease, Parke

Collins also had 2 more passed balls. Not great.

Encouraging stuff from Rutherford.

Colin’s needs to open his stance a little further?
