Is Lenyn Sosa something? Youngest guy on the team (third youngest in the league) and tearing it up so far. Plus only 1 K in 28 plate appearances.
He had really nice K numbers last year in the AZL too, so that might not be a fluke. The pop is a new development, but he’s so young and so inexperienced that it could definitely be something to keep a close eye on.
Sure would be a heck of a feather in the cap of the International Scouting department if he turns into something. That was one of the classes where people were pretty annoyed that the Sox didn’t splurge and go for some bigger name talent and break through the $3 million limit, and Sosa was just a $325,000 signing.
I noticed that Curbelo is at SS now. It will be interesting to see if his defensive struggles follow him there, because his bat looks promising.
Yeah, those errors had me worried he was destined for the outfield. He looks like hes filled out a bit.
Battenfield, Cease, Kopech and Madrigal tonight.
Too early to pull Kopech? 4 excellent innings so far.
Kidding… kind of.
Holy Winston-Salem
Why did they take Robert out?
Was HBP. Hopefully just precautionary.
He played another inning and had another AB after getting hit by a pitch, so I don’t think anything is wrong. They were already up 10-0 when he got pulled, so I’d like to think it was more score-related and nothing is actually wrong, but we’ll see.
