White Sox Minor Keys: June 18, 2022
Roster changes are afoot for the White Sox, partially because they have to remove one pitcher from the roster by Monday when the league caps the size of a staff at 13, and partially because Yoán Moncada and Leury García are both banged up, with the former in worse shape than the latter.
One way or another, Jeff Cohen said it looks like Adam Haseley is taking one of the roster spots.

I just started looking into this guy a few days ago, so maybe I have no idea what I’m talking about, but maybe Neslony should get promoted to Haesely’s spot? Since joining the Sox last year all the guy has done is rake.
Seems like they’ve wanted him there with nobody pressing from Winston-Salem and Céspedes in and out of the lineup. But if somebody like Duke Ellis could get a promotion, that might get him a chance to break out of the “org player” label.
Should we assume that TA and Haseley replace Banks and Lambert on the active roster? Or do we have a Moncada IL stint coming this week? Swapping out 2 pitchers, for a club that is having trouble covering 9 innings per day and facing a couple of weeks without an off day, seems aggressive or reckless.
I hope Moncada goes on the IL. Let him heal up a few weeks so maybe he will be healthy for the second half.
It is more fun to dream on a healthy Moncada than a healthy Garcia. If this means one of them spending 15 days getting right then let’s hope it’s Moncada.
For today, Foster goes on the bereavement list and Haseley comes up.
I’m not expecting the torrid pace of roster moves to slow down for another 3-4 weeks. Maybe longer, depending on results.
