Jim Margalus
Writing about the White Sox for a 16th season, first here, then at South Side Sox, and now here again. Let’s talk curling.
Regret the cause of the extended MiLB schedule but grateful for anything that whacks a few days off the off-season….
This is great Jim… Remind me again where is Elijah Tatis playing? Didn’t see him in the names analyzed above. Maybe he is still anon-prospect?
He’s hitting .102/.152/.133 with 48 strikeouts over 105 PA in the ACL, which is why he fell off the boards.
Oh boy, that’s terrifyingly awful!
So much for expecting to recoup some of the Tatis magic we traded away.
To be fair, he was signed as a 17 year old and missed an entire year due to COVID (That being said, his brother was putting up much better stats as a 17 year old)
If his name was Eljah Jones I don’t think he ever would have been on the boards.
Depends on whether Elijah Jones would’ve gotten the same signing bonus. $400K would make him worth monitoring initially.
I don’t think Elijah Jones would have gotten that signing bonus.
I’m surprised Rutherford is still on the 40-man. Can’t imagine that’s gonna last much past the season.
He’ll still have an option remaining for 2022, so I feel like he’ll get the Luis Gonzales treatment next year. If he finally shows us something–great. Otherwise, he’s behind glass in AAA in case of emergency.
