Writing about the White Sox for a 16th season, first here, then at South Side Sox, and now here again. Let’s talk curling.
‘ghetti in the bank alert
That was a spicy meatball
Add another meatball.
After the second for Tim and two other home runs so far, time for a whole team pasta party at this point.
Tim Anderson having his balance and timing back will be a great help for next month.
Yes, he’s set a standard. I expect nothing less than 3 hits per game from him in the postseason.
Luis Robert just destroyed that ball.
They showed 396 ft projected distance on TV. There’s no way it was only that right?
Well, I guess so, it was crushed at over 110 mph but with a 34 degree launch angle. I would have lost a lot of money on betting whether Robert’s homer was over 400 ft.
I’m with you that Robert home run had to travel further.
Now this is fun!!!
Now this is pod racing!
I think their new strategy should be to have TA, Robert, and Eloy all homer in the same game. I think their record in the playoffs will be pretty good in games where they do that.
On second thought, would probably be better if TA homered twice, just to be safe.
That seems like a winning strategy.
Maybe the problem lately has been they’ve only faced mediocre righties. They seem to be doing fine against this good righty!
Save this for October 7th!!
Robert is the most talented White Sox player I have ever seen.
You’re too young to remember Jeff Keppinger?
hehehe 🙂
He may not even be the most talented Sox cf. How can you not remember Jacob May?
Would that we were all too young to remember Jeff Keppinger.
How does using Kimbrel in the 6th inning, but it’s still the second-to-last inning, and it’s a non-save situation fit into his set of Gremlin rules?
Whatever it means I hope it results in getting Hendriks out there for the last three outs. He might explode in celebration.
I think they are going to do that no matter what. I like how TLR is handling this first game: real lineup, back end of the bullpen, let’s get this clinched. He’ll probably rest as many of the best regulars as possible (which is only a max of 4) in game 2.
Kimbrel seems to have no idea where the plate is.
I would not put Kimbrel rounding into dominant form as high on the list of things I expect to see this year. Unfortunately.
Chicago White Sox: 2021 AL Central Champs!!!
It only took 1.2 centuries, but finally a postseason team in two consecutive years!
That is just so unbelievable.
Now let’s win a series…or three.
YES!!!!!!!
I am 200 Mike Wright Jr years older than I was when he came into the game 2 innings ago.
