Assuming leads stay as they are today, it will have taken 93 wins for the Sox to have won the Central this year. That is significantly more that most would have predicted this year and the same amount of wins as last year when the Sox coasted to the division win. We’ll also tie the Giants at 81-81 and should finish 16th in draft order.
The first thing that needs to happen- Michael Reinsdorf goes up to Jerry and says, “Dad, let me do with the Sox what I did with the Bulls.” If Jerry allowed a Chicago legend like John Paxson to be fired, he will allow Rick and Kenny to be fired. That’s my hope. Otherwise, it’s going to be another frustrating offseason.
I’ve really enjoyed the good discussions we’ve had here this season. Jim’s writing has made this season bearable. Thanks, Jim!! We’re all passionate about the Sox and want them to succeed. It’s been great to have this outlet to share our thoughts/frustrations this year. Thanks to all of you for the great discussions!!
I hope José pitches the ninth
I appreciate the Sox leaving the fans with absolutely no doubt about where there are as a franchise going into the offseason.
I’m here for the burial.
Just when you thought Martin might crack the rotation or have significant trade value, reality slaps you in the face.
It’s a beautiful gesture that the Sox are determined to lose this game 79-0 in honor of José
Would Jose be able to go out to make a pitching change, or does that have to be a member of the coaching staff?
He is going to make all the pitching changes today.
Doh! Didn’t read you comment correctly.
It wouldn’t be 2022 without an injury and an embarrassing loss
So, did I miss anything?
We were mired in mediocrity and now we’re 81-81.
2022 is Rick’s masterpiece.
Or, three straight non-losing seasons on the old resume.
Seats at the table? ✅✅✅
I popped up the score and made a mad dash here, knowing that this wouldn’t go quietly at 10-0. HAHAHAHA Sox picked a fine time for appropriateness.

A 10-0 score is perfect. If you only look at part of the picture, like Rick and company did when they built this team, it’s still optimistically 0-0.
Who could possibly believe that the 2022 Chicago White Sox would finish at 81-81?
He missed 80-80
That tweet was from August. Here’s tonight’s update.
Aah cool, I was a bit disappointed we’d missed one in the 70s.
Sox Machine Live! will start at 6:30 PM CT
Twins pitcher going to get the coveted save while coming in up by 10
Welp, that’s it for the games. I certainly hope this is an interesting offseason that takes things in the right direction.
Fun season everyone. See you all back here March 30th for a 10-1 loss to Houston.

I like that. I wish it were closer to reality than I’m led to believe, but I like that.
