Woof. This is not the lineup you use to step on your rivals’ throats.

I know it’s a day game after a long one last night, but this is peak 2017

joewho112

Why bat Lamb so high? In what way is he better than Moncada or Vaughn or any other batter hitting 3-6?

Red_Hair_White_Sox

He’s left handed and that trumps skill apparently

As Cirensica

Hamilton can hit LH, why isn’t he hitting 2nd? Or Collins? or Leury?

Joliet Orange Sox

Hamilton has a career ops of 0.629 as a left-handed hitter (compared to 0.601 as a right-handed hitter). He’s a better hitter batting lefty but saying Hamilton can hit from from either side is a stretch.

As Cirensica

I was joking at the “…left handed and that trumps skill apparently…” comment above. Tongue in cheek comment.

Foulkelore

He’s clearly in there for his defensive skill at first.

As Cirensica

yeah…clearly

As Cirensica

Lamb can’t play 1B. Can’t hit RHP or LHP. Why do we have this guy again?
Jettison this guy to the moon and call up Goodwin or Sheets or whatever.

As Cirensica

OK…I’ll see myself out

joewho112

Well, I guess the jokes on us. Lamb HR

As Cirensica

It is possible, you know, that TLR with his almost 3,000 wins as a manager knows one or two things more about baseball than many of us.

Red_Hair_White_Sox

The joke is still on us. Lamb at first base

Foulkelore

It’s incredibly hard.

HouseOfTheRisingSox

Lamb’s technique of dropping the ball then falling down needs to be adjusted.

LuBob DuRob

Lamb does know he can stretch for the ball?

Who needs Luis Robert? That wasn’t rhetorical. The correct answer is: “the White Sox do”, but still, nice play, Billy.

As Cirensica

It’s a good sight to see a 1-2-3 inning by Foster

joewho112

Uh oh bullpen

dwjm3

Good grief…Nothing ever changes with Ruiz…You slot him up in leverage and he struggles

HouseOfTheRisingSox

4 batters and 4 ropes. Yikes

HouseOfTheRisingSox

Thats why I like day games though, Tony was still awake and got him out of there

Malkatraz

Is it his fault that Larussa pitched him 3 days in a row (against the same team)… and on the third day threw him into a high leverage situation with Bummer sitting in the bullpen?

Managers are supposed to put guys in the best position to succeed.

LuBob DuRob

Moncada should forgot about pop ups in fair territory.

WaldoWolf

Seriously, the White Sox should consider getting his hearing tested. It’s the third or forth time this has happened this season.

Milky✌️

Yerminated!

joewho112

Now that’s a $54M-quality save

jhomeslice

I hope that turns out to be money well spent… he hasn’t pitched all that often like the lights-out closer everyone hoped they were getting. Getting better though, hopefully.
