God I love watching this organization suffer the humiliation it deserves.
And yes, I’m a Sox fan. Been one for decades. But when you scout badly, hire badly, coach badly, connect to your fanbase badly, and spend badly, you get what you deserve. And this is what they Sox deserve–it’s a miracle their record isn’t even worse than it already is.
Agreed. They deserve this outcome. Life will go on and I’ll have the Sox in the lower depths of my mind this winter. I do feel bad for Jim though. I’m sure traffic slows when the Sox are bad.
Me too. I feel bad for him having to write about this team! My daily recap would simply be “F**k this team,” but he manages to spin gold no matter what. Bless him for that.
I was driving home from work, turned the game on, heard one batter- a bases loaded triple for the Dbacks in the 2nd. Turned it right off, tuned back later in to see the score was 7-0 and turned it right back off. No need to follow after that. Just came here for the comments. I really think the team will just completely quit very soon. I don’t see them anywhere near .500 at the end. I wonder if Tony will even stick out the season.
I like how Tony thinks every guy needs days off except the catcher. Oh well, at least all the players in tonight’s game have two working hands.
Maybe he asked Cueto and he said he’d rather have Seby. :shrug
Ideally the manager would know who is most comfortable throwing to Carlos and give Seby a breather that day, but I know that’s asking a lot of Tony.
Perez should be familiar with Martin who is scheduled for tomorrow
Sorry to think the best team on the field of a pro baseball team includes one who can not swing a bat?
Typical larussa move, to drop pollock to batting fifth. No sense to it
Correct. Absolutely no excuse for not hitting Pollock leadoff. We need a leadoff hitter. He has been good there. He has not been good elsewhere.
Alek Thomas in D’backs lineup. His father Allen was Director of Strength and Conditioning for the White Sox.
A bit of a homecoming for Daulton Varsho whos father Gary played for the Cubs and who played college ball in Milwaukee.
Welp, it’s about time to take this team out back and “Old Yeller” it.
The good news is that the schedule for the rest of this weekend is fairly easy – we’ll be facing the Arizona Diamondbacks
Phew.
Good thing they will not need a closer, Hendricks has the night off since he has been overworked. Can we throw the cards in yet?
Ok…just getting on, I see things continues as usual in the soft part of the schedule
Cueto and Zavala shaking their heads at each other.
Maybe what we need is a dugout brouhaha.
I’m into any signs of life this team shows.
Speaking of catchers, did Carlos Perez kill TLR’s puppy or something?
In most orgs when a guy gets called up the manager will put them into a game right away. Not the Sox.
You mean it’s not standard procedure to isolate and alienate a new player from his team?
I swear I will celebrate as if thw White Sox make a post season the day it’s announced TLR won’t be managing anymore.
Tomorrow Perez will be batting leadoff.

When you write your predictions down, you have the option of rooting for yourself.
Life’s all about the little victories, Jim!
We got a run! Tony’s boys don’t quit!
Maybe in the 2030s they’ll win three playoff games
After the playoffs expand to 24 teams and in the best of 11 series, sure, I can see that.
Having good outfielders. What a concept!
Where was this Alek Thomas guy hiding when the Sox drafted Steele Walker?
In the Sox clubhouse…….literally.
It shouldn’t be this easy. The White Sox always fail in exactly the way you expect them to.

C’mon Sox fans! The stands should be empty for the last out in a game like this during a season like this.
The stands should be empty because of them not replacing La Clown, and doing nothing the past two winters.
