Lamb needs to go
I don’t mind the 1983 retro uniforms on Sundays. Next year I would like to see the Sox mix in at least a few Sundays of the 1972 uniforms to honor the 50th anniversary of what really was “the team that saved the Sox”.
SABR summary of 72 Sox season
I’m not sure that anyone really wants to see the 1977 uniforms although that is a team I remember more fondly than 1983. However, I am glad the batter-up logo associated with those1977 unis is still around in various ways. I also don’t think there’s much nostalgia for the Sox to wear the late 1980’s script White Sox unis with the curlicue C cap.
Speaking of the 1977 White Sox, Jason and Steve just talked about Steve giving up a homer to Duane Kuiper on August 29, 1977. It was the only home run Kuiper hit in an MLB career of almost 3400 ab’s. Here’s the video:
Kuiper’s only career home run
Um, Tony, you can take Cease out any time now. I think we’re good.
Thank you, Duffy, for the 1 pitch line out to keep Cease under 110 pitches when the Sox have a 10-1 lead, and multiple bullpen arms aren’t getting enough work with 14 pitchers on the staff, and there’s an off day tomorrow.
I’m not sure what TLR is paying attention to sometimes, to be honest.
