Why are we here? What is the purpose? Is our mere existence absurd? Thank you, White Sox, for being the Albert Camus of baseball teams.

As Cirensica

A Camus reference? Love it. We’re here to confirm that Giolito still hasn’t figured it out yet.

Shingos Cheeseburgers

Would you say he’s…plagued by inconsistency or just a…stranger to success?

As Cirensica

Bad off season conditioning

The bad news is the Sox are already losing. Maybe that’s good news.
The good news is Giolito has already thrown 45 pitches in 2 innings so he won’t be in the game much longer. Or maybe that’s bad news. See what the Sox have done to me?

As Cirensica

Confuse you?

This is truly pathetic. We were swept by Cleveland when there was still a realistic chance to win the division and now, we’re losing to the Tigers. Hahn, Williams, and all of those on the 40-man roster should be thoroughly ashamed. I’m a longtime fan and, on paper, this is easily the most talented team I’ve seen the Sox field. I’m inclined to give Hahn one more season: he’s assembled a talented core; can he address the flaws now that they’ve been blatantly exposed? Hahn’s next meeting with the press needs to be meaningful.

Unless he is willing to speak for himself it won’t be meaningful. I can’t believe JR has decided anything serious at this point. If Rick shows a spine I will be impressed. There is always hope.

Hahn can spend next year kicking rocks while barefoot.

Why does everyone think that there is so much talent on this team? All these players are overrated. Aside from Abreu, what have they ever done? they gave away the division in 2020 by folding at the end of the regular season. Then they fell flat on their face against the A’s in the playoffs. Last year they stunk against good teams and were exposed against the Astros in the playoffs. This year, well, you know. Stop thinking this team is loaded with talent because they’re not. Their record is exactly what it should be.

As Cirensica

There’s an above average talent on this team. It is just astoundingly poorly distributed. The roster construction is abysmal. That’s on Hahn who repeatedly shows that his baseball acumen is nonexistent.

As Jim has pointed out in more than one of his analysis, it’s a zero sum endeavor.

The 2 players with the most heart on the team are Andrus & Cueto. What does that tell you about the rest of the roster?

Joliet Orange Sox

Is that fHeart or bHeart?

It tells me that Andrus and Cueto have stolen all the heart.

Love your comment about overrated talent.
The only guys worth a damn offensively are Pito, Eloy, AV, Elvis and a healthy Robert and TA. Pollock from 4th OF perspective. If Pito wants to come back take him gladly. Would love to see Elvis at 3rd next year with Romy getting a shot at 2B. Or if TA plays 2B go get a 3B. Let’s see what Colas has in RF. Go after a top notch starter (would Rodon come back?) and sorry Jim..bring in AJ to manage (and I don’t mean Hinch).

Did I see Romy in RF? Why is Romy in RF? Maybe La Russa IS calling the shots yet.

Does it matter anymore? He has played in the outfield before.

Fourth loss in a row. Fire Cairo! 🤪

you didn’t think they could win 12 in a row? I am thinking another 8 game losing streak though. Dead Sox.
