Nice AB for Pantera even though he didn’t get the last call – a ball.

I want the same strike zone for Cleveland.

a-t

Why did Civale get taken out after one inning, did they say?

Foulkelore

They speculated injury but didn’t have any specifics.

Right Size Wrong Shape

Len said sore wrist.

ChiSoxND12

They were lighting up Civale; 4 balls hit very hard and 1 full count K that should’ve been a BB.

Now I’m sure Morgan will go 12 up 12 down replacing him

soxygen

It would take a record of 48-27 (win pct of .640) to get to 90 wins.

I think that 1/3rd of our remaining games (25 of 75) are against Cleveland and Minnesota. Yikes!

funkerdan

eesh, we can’t win on the road at either (I wouldn’t call 2 wins saying we win tonight proof of otherwise), and we certainly can’t win at home. We’re like a lightbulb.

Whoom

Terrible throw by Tim, followed by a great catch by Pollock. Hopefully Gio can pitch out of this!

hitlesswonder

Is something wrong with TA? He seems maybe…not right.

Foulkelore

Eloy looks absolutely lost tonight. He took strike three right in the middle of the zone for the second straight at bat.

Whoom

As bad a fielder as he is, when he is “hitting” like this, I don’t get him being in the lineup at all (maybe DH? I dunno).

Whoom

And now he’s hurt again. Eloy needs to play the no running position.

Right Size Wrong Shape

Big game. Gio going back out for the TTTO. We’ll see…

I don’t care about putting the tying run on base, I wouldn’t pitch to Ramirez here.

Right Size Wrong Shape

Well, he survived, but now Eloy’s hobbled.

a-t

Eloy hurt running down a routine fly ball… goddamn man. cmon

funkerdan

if you don’t believe he’s injury prone, then it’s obviously conditioning. either way, looking to sell his jersey. I got a Lopez one instead.

vince

They call him Mr. Glass

funkerdan

WOW

Right Size Wrong Shape

More weird baserunning stuff. I don’t think there’s anything TA could have done there.

funkerdan

no maybe not but it just adds to the current frustration.

Whoom

Yeah, I don’t think so. That one was tailing right into him quite fast: 111.6 MPH off the bat. Hardest hit ball of the night.

vince

Bad luck that cuts a rally short is an improvement over the usual bad baserunning that cuts a rally short in my book.

HouseOfTheRisingSox

I actually thought Tim was not in good position to react to the liner because he was messing with pitcher before the pitch instead of normal leadoff. Maybe I’m imagining or being too critical due to Sox history of base running.

Right Size Wrong Shape

I think you are just searching for reasons to be critical.

a-t

Too critical. You don’t run the bases based off the chance that a 110mph laser is hit right at you lol

HouseOfTheRisingSox

I’m trying to make my son a Sox fan, but having him watch this team play isn’t helping.

Right Size Wrong Shape

Nice play by Engel. I still don’t think Gio should be out there.

Right Size Wrong Shape

Another nice play by Harrison! He was definitely safe, though.

Must be nice to have players that can hustle down the line to beat out a play, extend the rally, and do it without injuring themselves.

Right Size Wrong Shape

Nice job again by Reynaldo. Let’s add some insurance!

denman

Yeah, only two runs. This offense just can’t hit righties. Liam will have to earn his keep.

Right Size Wrong Shape

OW!

Right Size Wrong Shape

Naylor scares the everloving crap out of me.

Right Size Wrong Shape

Nice, hard-fought win. Big series coming up.

Joliet Orange Sox

There are worse things than splitting a series on the road. For tonight, I’m not going to focus on the home record or where the Sox sit in the standings and just be glad they got the split.

Whoom

Liam in top form is fun to watch!

a-t

That’s what Graveman and Hendriks get paid the big bucks for.

Kelly has been pretty bad, but Graveman’s been well worth the $ they threw at him this offseason
