A lot of love on the broadcast pregame for Andrew Vaughn, our 0.8 career WAR starting first baseman.
He’s being graded on a relative scale…the Sox have negative WAR players shivving each other in the club house so right now Vaughn is looking good.
Touki and Jesse…maybe we don’t have many holes to fill next year in the starting rotation. Facing the hapless Yankees lune up doesn’t help, so perhaps I might overestimate the strength of Touki and Jesse

Miguel Cabrera just hit a single that place him 19th in the all time list tying Robin Yount. Pujols is 9th and Beltré is 16th. It’s truly remarkable to be in the 3,000 hits list. They should be unanimously selected to the HoF. It might take a while to witness the next 3,000 hits member. Experts think Altuve (1,980 at 33 yo) might have a shot but it’s a long shot.

I turned the game on…and then just turned it off. Rick & Jerry are just so sleazy and Pedro is such an idiot that it’s hard to root for the organization and most of the players are so bad that it’s hard to root for the guys on the field. Which really just leaves rooting for the other fans and the upper Midwest, and I can do that without watching the game.

I think that’s everyone’s problem. It seems like a routine broadcast segment. There are graphics and research so the whole production crew must have worked on it and I expect they didn’t think it was controversial.
I mean if you’re 0-15 you’re 0-15, it may be ugly but that what you showed up to the dance with. It doesn’t stop you from being named homecoming queen.
