Writing about the White Sox for a 16th season, first here, then at South Side Sox, and now here again. Let’s talk curling.
Digging Cease’s low pitch count so far.
Andrew Vaughn closed stance seems to give him better coverage on the slider.
I think its been a while since Vaughn has had a 3 hit day.
Way to leave those ducks on the pond.
Did anybody notice Danny Mendick’s pitching line for the Mets yesterday? 1-1/3 IP, 8 H, 8 ER in a 21-3 loss to the Braves. At home. And that was just game on of a double header. They lost the second game 6-0.
The run differential in the first three games of that series is the Mets largest three game deficit in franchise history.
The Braves team is just a beast. They have 7 position players who already have a higher WAR this year than anybody on the Sox has either of the past two years other than Robert.
That’s all that separates the Sox from the Braves, 6 good position players.
Braves team OPS of .846. Team ERA of 3.87. Not too shaby.
I like that during the ads for the NBC Sports Chicago App they show an article about the Sox winning their tenth game in a row…which is something that has never happened during the existence of NBC Sports Chicago.
Jerry calls that, editorial license.
Bummer, reminding all once again how good he isn’t.
At least he rendered the wild pitch moot.
Yes, he sure did. And I guess he reveals that there are two things this team is actually good at – walking people, and giving up homers.
Sens Vaughn you cowards!
