Writing about the White Sox for a 16th season, first here, then at South Side Sox, and now here again. Let’s talk curling.
Time for the Seder question: how is this night different?
Andrew Benintendi – bad outfielder or worst outfielder?
What a beautiful homer by Robert
Grandal doesn’t throw out runners anymore. I think he only has 11 against 75 steals this year.
Not sure any catcher would have much of a chance with Kopech on the mound.
unless he does and you had your eyes closed 😉
😂 though he came into the game 69th out of 71 catchers with more than 100 innings in terms of rSB. He has been bad this year, but he got one and almost got a second base runner after I commented!
4 homers! We generally lose those games but I have a feeling we got this one.
I am having second thoughts
WTF just happened?
Now this is a clownshow
And now Eloy is hurt
Just when you think it can’t get worse “tune in”
watching boxing, apparently
The new culture
just what we were looking for!
Tim Anderson might need an anger management intervention. He is an angry man with a big chip on his shoulder.
Ramirez is an idiot, it should be mentioned.
He’s got a good right hook though, ask Tim.
Bryan Shaw?
Ugh.
I really do think there is something about that “slow down the game” stuff for Colas. After that RBI hit he made that random off balance throw like he was running out of the pocket.
It’s called being a rookie, I think.
Well that “Jose Ramirez owns the White Sox” narrative isn’t going anywhere anytime soon
We wish he owned the Sox.
If somebody asked me to make a video explaining this era of white sox baseball, it would be TA dropping his glove confidently like he’s a badass and then ending up punched out on the dirt with no idea where he is 7 seconds later.
This team is good at nothing
“This team is bad because TA can’t fight” is the new “See, La Russa wasn’t so bad!”
I don’t think I said that. But overconfident and under-talented, leading to both figurative and literal knockouts is a good representation of this collection of bums.
To the larussa point, say what you will but he won with them. Of the past 15 years of white sox baseball, the larussa years are the golden ones. But no, I’m sure it’s all his fault everybody sucked. He’s the new Trump. He’s terrible but yet at the same time responsible for everything that’s ever happened. Most managers don’t effect much. Larussa…effects everything! Never blame the players playing the game
You’re essentially proving my theory here. 😂
What are you babbling about?
You are correct; he is horrible and his fans are horrible.
I’d say Tim should stick to baseball, but this year his baseball hasn’t been any better than his boxing.
Glad there was no blood and nobody seriously hurt at least, aside from Tim’s pride. Jose hooked him pretty good.
Is the jury still out on Eloy getting hurt?
Elvis is having a game
No doubt. Elvis showed up.
On the other hand, Moncada did not have a competitive at bat there.
Shocking
How Aaron Bummer keep doing this?
He did something terrible in a past life to end up with defense and luck.
On the highlights I didn’t see where Tim did anything on that slide that Ramirez should have been upset about… did they talk much about that? Nothing visible at least from the clips I saw.
No, they didn’t go into it at all. My guess is Cleveland is mad about the tag yesterday that pushed the runner’s hand off the bag? I don’t know why they’d be mad at TA about that though, that’s on the ump.
I like Benetti, but don’t think he did a very good job during the fight. He basically spent 15 minutes saying, “Boy, this is wild.” I still have no idea how Eloy got hurt, why the fight started in the first place, or how Clase was involved.
Eloy got stepped on and the umpire bailed on the fight.
What an absolute idiot parade of a game. Fold the franchise, ha.
Trying to get the other team’s best player tossed may be the best strategy the Sox have for the next couple years.
Ramirez got himself tossed. He was clearly looking to start something. And Pedro embarrassed himself… what on earth was he “thinking?”
The more they lose the more he gets tossed… maybe he thinks he doesn’t get the L if he’s in the shower.
Most entertaining game of the year! Ramirez with an advantage during the fight, used to doing things both lefty and righty, I don’t think Tim was ready for the left hook. Remillard seems to have a knack for driving in runs. Does he lead the Sox in RBI per plate appearance? This season has been garbage, but tonight was fun.
It was a right hook. Kopech was as responsible for it landing as Ramirez.
