Writing about the White Sox for a 16th season, first here, then at South Side Sox, and now here again. Let’s talk curling.
HBP, HBP, Strikeout, Strikeout, Strikeout … the calibration routine worked.
Why did the Sox bother with those 7 guys in the field other than Kopech and Grandal?
Maybe Vaughn should try running on his hands. Can’t be any slower than his current method.
He also joined the no fundamental list. If he just hits the front of the bag he beats it fairly easy. Stepping on top/back of first base is never good. Also how Eloy tore his hammy last year.
Wow, Vaughn continues to hit the ball in places where I’m sure even he can beat it out, and yet, not so much.
I guess it’s understandable that he’s so slow. He’s a catcher who is almost 35 years old.
No wait, I’m thinking of Grandal. I can’t think of any reason for Vaughn to be so slow.
Moncada is such a joy to watch at 3B.
Fantastic play Yoan!!! His d is so damn good
ayo
Haha, it took me like 5 minutes to realize what I did.
Helluva double play turn from Yoan. Now if only he’d hit the fuckin ball hard
incredibly slow motion double lol
I didn’t even realize that Joey Wendle played SS; I always thought of him as a 2B. He’s really good over there.
Kopech is, as usual, rather wild. He is, however, still in possession of one of the least hittable 4-seam fastballs in baseball. Which is always a nice thing.
Yep, looking like a 5 inning start but if it’s 5, 0 er, I’ll take it. Gio can pick up the pen tomorrow and then off on Monday. Let’s get some freaking runs!!!
That’s better. Now Vaughn can take his time getting around the bases.
Chances that we sweep this series all on one run wins?
zero
McClure for Santos sure looks like a pretty sweet trade at the moment.
That’s a damn fine armoire.
So who pitches the 9th, Kelly or Liam?
TA7 needs benching. Another key play missed. Not hitting. Killing this team.
tim, man… he just keeps doing that same thing when coming home on bouncers, taking his eye off the ball and not getting it clean. really rough stuff
Our best SS (right now) plays 2B. That needs fixing.
TA needs to go. This will always be a below average defensive team with him at SS. Just a badly built defensive team with him in the middle. SS is arguably the most important defensive position, and Tim is just not good in the field.
He is such a liability right now. What do you do with him? He is killing the team offensively and defensively.
He’s a head case too. Rumors of extra marital off the field stuff last year, he’s obviously unhappy. And he was whining this winter about lack of fan support. If they can get good value, trade him. Good riddance.
What kind of “value” would you expect to get?
Not a coincidence that TA played 2B for team USA. Even if Trea wasn’t on the team I doubt DeRosa has Tim at short. He’s never been good enough defensively, his peak was a smidge above passable
Feels like Grifol massively overthought this one. I get Liam’s not ready for back-to-backs. Why not Graveman you fool???
He already pitched back to back – which itself has been problematic.
My bad, was thinking we had a day off not a doubleheader on THU! Yeah he’s been better on B2B this year but obvi not gonna go B2B2B
Mistakenly thought it was an evening game, went to Blues Fest. Probably for the best.
This one hurts. Just 3 outs to win it. How about moving Andrus to SS and TA7 to 2B? I think the White Sox get better that way.
