Just tuning in. The White Sox have a homer by Burger against a RHP?
the “burger can’t hit RHP” is maybe a little overblown
Heartbreaking: The Worst Person You Know Looks Like A #2 Starter Again
His pitching style lacks elegance but he is getting the job done somehow.
Riding mid-90s FB, renewed nasty slider, occasional change, unsettling delivery, and I think critically, when he misses it’s almost always out of the zone instead of down the middle.
Whether ya like him or dislike him, He’s competing. Has an edge. Chip on shoulder. Walkout/warmup song was Kanye’s “gold digger” I believe?
Well…it’s nice to have real outfielders
See? Defense is super important and Pedro must keep putting our best fielders in.
Benintendi killing it on both sides of the ball.
The passion our bullpen has for walking people…
Rutshcman is a heck of a hitter
I am beyond fucking sick of seeing Diekman when we have a narrow lead.
Also, it’s incredibly hard to win a baseball game when you give up 8 walks or more
Is Ethan Katz good? Still a tricky question.
why, after a day off, would you put in Diekman in the 7th inning of a 3-run game. I am not at all impressed with Pedro’s bullpen management.
Then you bring in ReyLo who is one of the most heavy used reliever. Prone to fly balls. If only we had a pitcher that induces groundballs but I guess Graveman missed the plane.
Correct. Pedro needs to get his shit together. Enough with the saving guys and being cautious “early in the season”. We need to start winning some games.
Me neither. Fkn anyone but Diekman there. We’re being forced to relive 2022 bullpen mistakes cuz Pedro hasn’t experienced those mistakes first hand yet.
I’m joining late. Why did Grifol use Diekman in the 7th with a 3-0 lead? Did 6 of the other bullpen arms get hurt?
Diekman is for Grifol what Leury was to Tony. Just inexcusable to use him with a rested bullpen.
He is saving them for later and keeping them fresh. It worked marvelously for Tony.
I think it’s getting pretty safe to say this team is going nowhere. It’s a repeat of 2022 so far.
I think we are worse than 2022
Me too. Last year team was a .500 team WITH Tony managing about 100 games. This team hasn’t won a series yet.
The Detroit Tigers have won a series already.
Twins winning and Guardians winning. The White Sox might be out of the race by the month of May.
Train wreck.
Two Reinsdorf gut punches in one night.
Maybe it’s the Friday evening bourbon talking but think it’s time for the front office to deflect attention by locking up Colson Montgomery on a franchise record 10 year $90 million contract just in case he ever makes the big leagues.

Looking forward to the first fan shaming quotes by KW being leaked soon: when that happens we’ll know the 2023 season is over …
And the cancellation of the 2024 SoxFest should be right around the corner.
RH got close to it today. Read Trib article. Something like “oh I’m not hearing from ANY fans this is like 2022 injuries. They must be the fans who seek you out in the comments section.” Paraphrasing.
Yea Rick, maybe cuz you don’t actually talk and listen to real fans. Only talk to the ones who praise you. Like, cancelling Sox fest is one example.
Hanser Alberto continuing to get late game at bats.
It looks like I made a smart decision not to get MLB.TV this year. At least I don’t have to watch this.
I might have thrown a brick thru the TV set in the last few days.
I had the opportunity to watch my first MLB.TV game of the year tonight….starting in the 7th inning. Lasted two innings.
New account here, but I’ve been reading you guys for some years. Love the commentary and the content.
Welcome!
I’ve had MLB.TV since 2011. I’ve watched 3 winning seasons and two playoff appearances heading into my 13th season of the subscription. Money well spent.
What’s that expression? A fish rots from the head? That’s the problem with this organization. It starts with Jerry and rots all the way down. There’s a real chance this team just quits on Pedro and Rick Hahn gets a third chance at a rebuild.
Maybe Pedro is in over his head. I don’t think I can take a 3rd Hahn rebuild.
He might be and in no other organization would Hahn have a third chance at a rebuild but this is an organization that won’t let go of Daryl Boston for some reason, so I think Hahn gets another chance. Unless Jerry sells the team.
The only way Hahn won’t get a 3rd chance is if he gets promoted and Getz takes his place. That will be just as bad as keeping Hahn.
Daryl Boston is one of KW’s best friends. #meritocracy
At this rate, the #SellTheTeamJerry crowdfunding could purchase regular airtime in loving memory of Ursula by midseason.
If this keeps up, no one will go to the games by June.
By June?! No one will be there by May at this point.
Well, cheap tickets were the advantage of the rebuild years.
I’ll invest a thousand dollars to this.
Anyone who thinks this team is going to compete is kidding themselves. Katz needs to go.
9 walks. Simply pathetic.
Thank God for fantasy baseball. I can’t deal with this shit all year. Burn it all down, man.
Watched the whole thing. New coaches and same old 2022 stuff. These guys chase everything. Don’t cover 2nd conceding a double when there’s a play. Grandal setting up Diekman twice low and away when he can’t throw strikes. Why? Eloy stands there and watches an 88 mph slider over the heart of the plate for called strike 3. Grandal three Ks including a big one by Bauman. Why do our pitchers constantly nibble around the corners? Seemingly behind in the count all the time. That’s on Katz I think.
The sad fact is that these guys aren’t very good. What we’ve seen is what we’ll get I think for the rest of the year. And if your life isn’t frustrating enough you can always watch the White Sox to get your fill.
How and why did Diekman make this team again? Cuz it was already sunk cost? Thought we’d seen enough of him last season when he was a year younger, but I guess Pedro hasn’t yet. He just shouldn’t be used when Sox are winning by 3 runs or less in my opinion. I’d rather see a AAA guy get a shot at this point.
