Sox Machine partners with Playback for virtual watch parties

Last season, Sox Machine partnered with Playback to host virtual Watch Parties for Chicago White Sox games. Since games could last more than three hours, we naturally asked our friends FromThe108 to join us for the ride. It was an experimental experience for us that could open doors to new types of content we produce at Sox Machine.ย

Based on the sample size from those who joined Watch Parties last season, and our own personal enjoyment in providing live commentary during games, we are bringing it back for the 2023 season. Our next Watch Party will be the Chicago White Sox first Spring Training game which starts at 2:00 PM CT on Saturday, February 25.ย

Hereโ€™s a highlight of Lenyn Sosaโ€™s first MLB home run that we were lucky to host a Watch Party:

For new users, itโ€™s easy to sign up on Playback. To join a Watch Party where youโ€™ll be able to comment live just like First Pitch posts on Sox Machine and hear our live commentary, follow these steps:

  3. You will receive an email from Playback with your login link

Not only will we be hosting Watch Parties for White Sox games, but weโ€™ll also be doing these virtual events for the upcoming World Baseball Classic. With YouTube integration, we can even do Watch Parties for classic White Sox games. We are excited to use Playback in more ways for 2023 and look forward to you joining us.

Pretty sure Lenin and Lenyn Sosaโ€™s name are pronounced the same way in Spanish. I gotta side with the 108 boys here.

Yolmer

Not only that, but his real name is actually Ulyanov Sosa.

As Cirensica

I can tell you you are 100% correct, and yet Josh has the right pronunciation because the way we pronounce Lenin is not the same as Americans pronounce it. Where Americans say LE-nin, we say le-NIN….So Josh is right, Lenyn is pronounced Le-NYN

I thought it was a reference to John Lennon, even though Paul sang that one.

As Cirensica

Josh, you seem to have lost a lot of weight since Lenyn’s first homer. Kudos.

These were fun as hell last year, glad to see there will be more in 2023!

that’s a lot of steps to follow
