White Sox Minor Keys: Sept. 22, 2022

Sean Burke (Danny Parker/Four Seam Images)

The White Sox could’ve settled for Sean Burke throwing 100 innings between the Winston-Salem Dash and the Birmingham Barons, but they’re allowing him to finish the year with the Charlotte Knights. He made his Triple-A debut on Thursday, and that allows him the possibility of one more start before the end of the year.

He did get some valuable experience in the first inning. After his own error gave the Jumbo Shrimp an extra life, he got ahead of Willians Astudillo 0-2, then threw La Tortuga a pretty good high fastball.

It ended up over the left-field fence.

They need to put Robert on the IL and let Payton play with the big club for the remaining few games.

Is there a 40-man roster issue? Otherwise yes.
