White Sox Minor Keys: Sept. 18, 2022
Oscar Colás (Jim Margalus / Sox Machine)
Project Birmingham has come to a close, but according to Cuban reporter Francys Romero, Oscar Colás will play on by joining the Charlotte Knights for the remainder of their schedule.
That’s all of nine games, as Charlotte will go on the road to play Jacksonville this week, followed by three at home to Durham to close out the 2022 schedule.
It’s definitely worth letting him get a look, as he’s hitting .309/.367/.516 over 110 games this year, including a .306/.364/.563 line over 51 games at Birmingham.
Norfolk 9, Charlotte 1

Nine extra days of Minor Keys!
Any mention of Cespedes going to Charlotte too?
He has a 103 wRC+ that’s being propped up by a .349 BABIP and he’s striking out over 30% of the time. It’s not like he’s forcing the issue.
The Tigers just poached the SF Giants GM and are promoting him to President of Baseball Operations. That is a pretty good hiring by Chris.
Damn I thought you meant Zaidi and I was going to get depressed. Hahn to SF and KW to the Mets and we do this over. No need for a complete redo, just some unbiased analysis and some smart moves.
I’m all for purging our front office. However, I don’t trust Jerry to hire a replacement.
As long as Jerry’s the chairman these guys will all be allowed to play out the string until the quit. Need some fire Hahn chants in the stadium.
