Jason, Steve, and Rick Manning in suits and ties is a weird Peacock choice.
They should wear peacock plumage.
If they can’t get this game in it would be a bad break for the Sox. Cease vs. Civale is about the best matchup you can hope for.
That’s what I’m thinking too. Plus the weird first game of a series thing we got happening. I don’t like the 1 game series in our future. Got one tomorrow I dread in kc.

Not to play conspiracy theorist, but I live about an hour south of Cleveland. It rained a hell of a lot more yesterday and they had the field playable. Today it’s rained maybe 90 minutes.
Pitching matchups are way more favorable to the sox today. And they just can’t figure out that rain on the warning track

I’m telling you, it’s in the making. Earlier in the year the sox were going to play their first nice weather game in going fit the series victory vs Cleveland. What happened? All their coaches got COVID. Cancelled on a 80 degree day. They are a team of bs and babip

Pic of the spot that had them so concerned. I can see why they were scared to play today.
This is more out of frustration, but I didn’t even see them working the wet spots on the warning track that much (the Peacock feed was showing what was happening live). Diamond Dry can be quite the wonder. It’s like they were like, “Well, we tried nothing, and we’re all out of ideas.”
Yeah agreed it was weird and kinda frustrating. I kept thinking that I could have done plenty of work on it in all that time.
My internet provider is Xfinity so Peacock is included but I imagine people with other providers who subscribed to Peacock for this game are frustrated. Peacock should refund their money.
But now they can watch old episodes of Manimal to their heart’s content.

It turns out Manimal was a real show (I was in college not watching much TV when it ran and had never heard of it) but it isn’t on Peacock and at least one features editor wasn’t pleased with its absence from Peacock when Peacock debuted.
Manimal is one of the first shows I remember watching when I was a kid. I have a feeling it’s not nearly as awesome as my 4-year old self thought it was.
When I was that age, my brother and I drove my mom nuts demanding she adjust the dial on the UHF adapter box so Channel 32 would come in and then we would try to get her to stay because we were terrified of Mr. Mean on BJ and Dirty Dragon’s Cartoon Town.

I’m guessing that whatever pregame routine Cease went through before finding out that the start was never going to happen isn’t advisable to do two days in a row, and Kopech is the only other candidate on normal rest.
