Fired up about the second half! I’m ready to watch the game…on Gameday. I hate this Apple TV thing.
I haven’t seen this team fired up since they replaced Renteria. With the most un-fired-up person possible.
The Blue Jays, on the other hand, they might be a little fired up.

I just saw a quote from Hahn about the bullpen being their top priority for the trade deadline. I haven’t followed this site for a few days, has his quote been discussed? Geez.
Kelly had better get his act together or that will go down as one of the worst bullpen signings ever. If they try to address their bullpen, Hahn should have no input on deciding who they should get.
They are going to need a bullpen on days when Lynn and Giolito pitch, it sure looks that way.
Bummer won’t be back until September at the earliest, so they definitely need to add a lefty with their top two on the shelf.

I’m sure they will wind up winning the division. But they are a shadow of the team they were even 2 years ago, and they weren’t even that good then.

Boston has given up 41 runs in the last 2 and a half games. Yeesh.
And all of those count as earned runs because errors in the outfield don’t make sense.

Wow. Now the Jays have 27 runs. Meaning the Red Sox have given up 54 in the last 2+ games.

Why wouldn’t we start our best pitcher tonight? Don’t the Sox realize the goal has to be to win every game possible? Cease would have been on normal rest. They blew the ability to save guys for October with the first half clunker…
I’m starting to consider tuning off. This is early season White Sox.
I never bought into winning a few at the end of the first half against their pitiful division rivals meaning much. They just played closer to their past 2 seasons which were not great, rather than being worse.
The Guardians have 7 hits. Of those, *5* have had exit velos not just under 90mph, but all under 75mph.
Nothing to be concerned about, the way the Sox pound out home runs at G-Rate, a 6 run deficit is nothing to make up.
I think Grandal gets to 2nd in that ‘single’ by Eloy. He can’t run.
I noticed they had a different announcing team for this Apple TV broadcast from the two games I’ve seen with the White Sox previously this season. It is still an excruciating experience. Twice in the 1st inning Hunter Pence called a Giolito Slider a Change-up. Then once he called a Slider a “Slider/Curveball?” He’s a former Major League player. You’d think he’d know the difference. Especially on the homerun where you have the benefit of a slow-motion replay and can clearly see the grip of the pitch. Sorry for the rant. I realize it’s just a minor thing amongst many other things that make these Apple broadcasts so cringe worthy, but it just rubs me the wrong way. The White Sox performance certainly hasn’t helped whatsoever either.
Dumb announcers just stepped all over Nelson’s line. They were showing McEwing, he said “probably getting ready for another aggressive send”. I died. Neither announcer noticed and just kept rambling

Yeah, down 4 going into the bottom of the fourth shouldn’t be insurmountable against Cleveland; but, it sure does seem so.

That game is entering the bottom of the 6th and Gausman is out of the game after throwing 5 ip to qualify for the win. I hope someone comes in and finishes the game throwing 3 or more innings so that the scorer can award them a save. The save is among the most ridiculous stats in all of sport so I like when the full absurdity is on display.
Maybe we will see a position player pitch….for the Jays 🤡
I generally like the aesthetic of the Apple TV broadcast and it’s nice to get a 60FPS broadcast but lol at that cut scene of a Chicago River cruise that was clearly during December.

This game pretty much epitomizes the whole vibe of this team 80 percent of the time in 2021/22. A sub-.500 team in the weakest division in baseball over the past calendar year. Easiest schedule in MLB too.

Seems like he might be the catching version of Keuchel. Lynn already seems to have the pitching version covered. That’s 18M each for two guys who might not be worth much at all. And Leury for sure has the utility player version, we’ve got him for not just one but two more years!
TWTW is nowhere to be found for the 2022 White Sox.
All the talent makes it even more of a bummer.
There has never been a discussion involving TWTW that I have found worthwhile.
