White Sox Minor Keys: May 10, 2022

A fresh week opened with Colson Montgomery still neither active nor on the injured list, but the White Sox were able to offer resolutions to two other injury situations, one positive and one negative.

Yoelqui Céspedes: Returned to the lineup after missing the last three games of Birmingham’s series in Tennessee.

Oscar Colás: Went on the 7-day injured list retroactive to Sunday.

At least the system will briefly get an infusion of talent when Andrew Vaughn plays in Charlotte for the first time ever. He’ll begin his rehab stint tonight for his bruised hand, which might suggest that the White Sox have some regrets about putting AJ Pollock right back into action after a similar absence.

Indianapolis 15, Charlotte 5

• Adam Haseley went 1-for-4.
• Yolbert Sánchez went 0-for-2 with a walk and an HBP.
• Jake Burger was 0-for-4 with a strikeout in his return to Triple-A.
• Carlos Pérez also was 0-for-4.

Biloxi 7, Birmingham 6

• Lenyn Sosa went 1-for-4 with a walk.
• Yoelqui Céspedes returned to the lineup, going 1-for-5 with two strikeouts.
• José Rodriugez, 1-for-3 with an HBP.

Rome 6, Winston-Salem 1

• Bryan Ramos went 0-for-3 with a strikeout and an HBP.
• Luis Mieses, 0-for-3 with a walk.
• Adam Hackenberg and Harvin Mendoza both were 0-for-4 with a K.

Kannapolis 3, Fredericksburg 2

• James Beard struck out three times during an 0-for-5 night.
• Wes Kath went 3-for-5 with a strikeout and a stolen base.
• DJ Gladney wore the collar and the silver sombrero.
• Chase Krogman was 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts.
• Wilfred Veras, 2-for-4 with a strikeout.
• Kohl Simas: 5 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 4 K.
