Classic Moncada nice throw on the run
I believe McGuire has caught more than half the time. Is he effectively the starting C?
Supposedly Grandals knee isn’t 100 percent
Sheets in the outfield …total joke
Gavin, what would you say you do here?
I have people skills
Welp … I guess he does that.
Dingers!
remarkably rapid sheets redemption arc
Okay, 4-1 is good, catching up here.
How did Cleveland score a run without a hit?
Sheets error in right
AJ Pollack is playing pretty bad, but The Chain is a bold and quality walk up music choice.
You can cancel the post game show.
Fuck this deadball
sheets got a homer and jose a flyout due to launch angle. obviously the wind is not helping, but one thing that increased drag on the new ball does is lower the ideal launch angle. a steeper launch angle means the ball is in the air for longer, thus longer for drag forces to work on it anti-parallel to its trajectory. at least before the new ball, the ideal launch angle for a baseball has been found to be about 26 degrees; a much larger surface area and thus draggier softball (10″ not 16″) has an ideal launch angle of about 18 degrees. even power hitters will need to become more of line drive hitters in this new environment
I essentially agree with your post except for using the balls hit by Sheets and Abreu as examples to compare. It is a very windy night and Abreu’s ball had a launch angle of 33˚. I think the wind would likely have held it in the park without any changes to the ball.
Joe Kelly with filthy stuff
Does he always look in after he strikes someone out? I can see why this guy gets in fights.
Is Kendall Graveman on the Island of Misfit Toys with Colson Montgomery and Oscar Colás?
Lmao….Rosario
Those jerseys remain awesome.
Yeah now that the shock of them has worn off they are somehow even cooler.
The Sox are showing that they have no idea what to do with a (previously) 6 run lead.
Well…I’m getting nervous
I’m past nervous.
Unbelievable
you gotta be shitting me
Oh dear
Just go score 1 run and let’s forget that just happened.
I knew pulling Banks was a mistake. Sometimes you just have to let the guy finish the damn game.
I wouldn’t have brought him in …maybe use Ruiz …maybe Burr
Hendriks was getting loose, I just would have had him work a non-save situation. Not ideal, but could it have gone worse?
Hahn just didn’t focus enough on the bullpen this past off-season.
Damn it. I can’t believe the play Ramirez just made to save this game.
Cleveland always plays hard against us. I feel like at times we don’t match their intensity.
So, what’s wrong with Graveman?
Me: It’s dangerous to pitch to Naylor tonight. Don’t throw him anything good with a crappy hitter on deck.
Burr: 88 mph cutter down the middle on 1-0.
Welcome back paper bag head. Ugh! Terrible embarrassment.
Barring a miracle here, this is a real bad one. This was a completely feel good game with Moncada and Kelly returning and doing well, Kopech throwing how he did, Sheets and Pollock homers … until the bottom of the 9th.
Yup, we needed to sustain momentum with the Yankees coming
I thought it was pretty likely the Sox were not going to enter the Yankee series on a nine-game winning streak.
It is a character builder. Need to play all 27 outs and tighten up the defense, but crazy games happen.
Here’s the way I see it, this team MIGHT make the playoffs but they’re getting bounced real quick once they’re there. This is atrocious.
I could see that happening
Gonna be hard to dominate the weak American League Central if you can’t beat teams in the weak American League Central.
Today, we probably win with Burger.
No range in the field and 40% K rate surely would’ve come in handy.
Your characterization of no range, is not supported by the evidence.
